So it's Diwali, and my Punjabi neighbours are trying to enjoy their fireworks parties in the 1st October Snow here since 1934.

We had snow flurries around here today too. But no fireworks. I feel cheated.

I'll trade you some of my drizzle for some of your snow. I like London under a sheet of snow. I don't like it so much when it's submerged in recycled sewer water.

Even Brum is nice under a dusting of snow.

Here's a (crappy phone quality) photo from my office window as the snow started falling this afternoon.

Tolkien's Tower & Rooftop

The house in the foreground is where JRR Tolkien stayed with his Aunt as a child, and the tower in the distance is the Waterworks Tower that he imagined being inhabited by a Wizard. (The other tower is behind the foliage)

Why don't you tear down old buildings every 25 years like we do here in Western 'Merica? Those buildings probably have terrible chi-flow and block wi-fi!

I was going to be a smartarse and link to Aucklands weather today, but its only 20°C with some cloud and the odd shower later, so nothing to brag about.

Happy Diwali too btw.

Yep. Nothing stuck, but there were flurries here and in W. Knox. There was more in the mountains.

I had to work through 40 degree rain all day and didn't even get to see any snow; it all went around my area to the north and west. I wonder what my early morning drive to Philly (and then back) is going to be like...
