West Hollywood as scaried up the place with a Sarah Palin dummy hanging from a noose. Tricky or tacky?

What are folks halloween plans? Anyone got a cool costume to share?

I'm gonna make carmel apples and, maybe, head into town to watch the holloween festivies (pumpkin tossing/seed spitting contests, haunted house, etc), or I may just ignore the fact that Friday night is halloween.

Can you imagine the response if that had been a Barack Obama mannequin?

Meh, not as tacky as the Sarah Palin topless look-a-like contest.

As for plans, we shall be taking Mia the Princess and Jack the Dragon out for treats and then getting our drink on after. Heck, we earned it!

Probably roughly on a par as if they had actually strung Sarah Palin up.

And rightly so.

The husband guy has to work Friday night, so I'll just be taking my little Darth Vader around to some of the Trunk or Treats that some of the businesses will have. Then we'll go home and I'll "test" the candy.

Been there, done that. Close-in to the highly liberal metro area of Portland, no less.

My preparations are well underway.

For the passing kiddyblinkies I've started preparing my Chocolate Covered Scotch-Bonnet Chillis and Candied Magic Mushrooms.

Oh their little faces. . . . .

Smash and I are taking Hannah trick or treating at a mall...I don't think he's crazy about it (can't we just take her out to...houses and stuff?), but she's three and it's indoors and warm (she won't need to wear a coat over her cinderella dress) and well lit and there's a restroom right there and she can go on the quarter operated mall-rides that she so loves...

...and I can get sushi.

Is there anything involving Sarah Palin that isn't tacky?

Oktoberfest girl. Hubby's dressed as a beer keg. That actually dispenses beer. He got completely tore up at a couple of costume parties over this past weekend.

I may also buy this one Geisha costume as well, but I don't think it's as comfy as my Oktoberfest costume.

A few of my neighbors and our family are getting together to trick or treat in our neighborhood. There will be about 8 adults and 8 kids. A few of us grown ups are dressing up, the men have promised to bring beer, and my next door neighbor has been mapping out the spots to hit for maximum candy gathering Smiley: lol. I think he's more excited than the kids.

Xavier is going as the Scream Ghost, Ashe is going as a Skeleton, sans mask and I'll do my pirate outfit I guess.

BATTLE, England (CNN) -- Townsfolk in England have delivered their explosive verdict on Sarah Palin, stuffing a giant effigy of the U.S. Republican vice presidential nominee with fireworks and blowing her up to raucous cheers.

Sarah Palin was depicted holding a machine gun, flanked by a moose and Barack Obama.

Bump! Who knew Sarah Palin would be so effigy-popular?
