What's on tap for the weekend, peeps?

Have a a fairly stay-at-home mom kinda day today. Park time followed by grocery store time, followed by coffee with DSD this afternoon (maybe?? DSD?). Mia is going to some pumpkin decorating deal at the library with daddy tonight. Saturday holds nothing of interest and Sunday I am taking Mia to another Hallowe'enie deal.

In between, hockey game to watch, new book to start, EQ2 to play (haha, I got a beta invite to S.O. yesterday) and hanging with mah mister. Might also try and knock out some more Xmas shopping, if I want to punish myself.

Off to the hosspital again for the kids. Actually, I'm not, the girl friend is. I'm staying home from work with the 2 yr old who already has strep throat, while she takes the 10 month old to the children's hospital because her fever hasn't broken after 5 days and they wanted her back if it didn't. She'll be getting something for strep throat too.

This weekend, my parents are coming to visit me in Florida, so I get to spend the weekend with them. Also going to take puppy to get his nails trimmed.

No MMOs or writing for me this weekend. Smiley: frown

Tonight I have to finish making the house look nice for when the cable guy comes on Saturday.

Saturday, my dogs have an appointment at the vet also, for a nail trimming... Then some more straightening, some relaxing, then the cable guy comes and gives us digital cable, phone, and HIGH SPEED INTERNET!!!! I've been suffering with dialup up til now. Smiley: bah

Sunday I'll be enjoying my new internet to the fullest, then cooking a delicious dinner.

Apparently. Smiley: tongue

Til now, if I wanted high-speed I'd have had to go with satellite internet, which is just awful for gaming. And hella expensive for that matter.

Tonight I'll just be hanging at the house, watching TV or reading. No gaming for me. My video card died last night. Now I have to get another one.

Sat. is the kiddo's final football game, for the championship. They're undefeated so far, wish them luck!

Sunday I might be forced to clean house, since my computer is dead in the water. Smiley: bah

Tonight I'm making pumpkin cheesecake if Kao will give me a good recipe *frown* Tomorrow, Hannah and I will head down to my sister's place (about an hour and a half from here) to hang out and have lunch and whatnot with my Mom, Aunt, Uncle, Sister and her husband. Sunday I was hoping to rake leaves and get some stuff that's still outside stored away (it's time to admit there will be no more grilling this season), but it's supposed to rain, so we'll see.

I have never done it before, and last thing I want to do is to do it wrong and hurt him.

He's only five and a half months old.

I have to host a stupid K12 playdate at Seabrook if it doesnt rain but you know you are more than welcome to come join and we can have coffee. If it does rain I am so down for coffee and letting our kids run around screaming.

Today I've got to get a few errands done, host a playdate at a playground for a bunch of moms with kids around Ashes age and then I shall chill out and polay EQ2. If the weather holds the fam is headed to Lexington, NC for their annual BBQ festival which is supposed to be one of the top places for BBQ in the country. The Mr saw it on the Food Network and has been salivating since March. If it's going to be crappy out like predicted, I promised him we could hole up in the house and we'd make our own BBQ festival with take out from our favorite dive.

Sunday I volenteered to decorate my car for a Trunk or Treat. I made the front of a pirate ship to go around my car, and we'll decorate it to look like a haunted Pirate Ship. Should be fun for the kids.

A friend of mine is going to take his daughter to her first Halloween party this weekend. She's going to be a pirate, and he's dressing up as a parrot.

I think we're driving down to Abilene tonight or tomorrow. Going to go visit my sis and her fiance. He's recently back from a TDY "over there". Probably spend entirely too much spoiling my nephew. Hopefully hear back on if the bank takes our offer on a house.

Sorry, it's there now.

As to my weekend plans, I dunno yet. It's really, really , really old here at the moment, so I'm not sure i'll get to fly the kites againthis weekend. I may just make a big pot of cocoa, crank the heat up, grab my stack of books and work my way through most of them.

Create a character that primarily gurgles. Problem solved.

I'm just getting back on my feet from some nasty bug, so the hubbies taking me out to dinner tonight.

I feel like a mole after being holed up on the couch cacooned in blankies for five days. Looking forward to getting outside this weekend. I need to cut back and pack up my flowers and herbs, rake leaves, and just generally soak up some fresh air and sunlight.

I am also thinking I need to make a pot of chili.

It does. I'd forgotten how bad TV is. I caught myself, while in a Advil/Sudafed induced daze, almost buying a hand-bag off a home shopping TV network program.

Sounds like mostly everyone is back on the mend.

Tonight: Family party tonight.

Tomorrow: Taking both BMWs in for some maintenance (not looking forward to paying for THAT). Need to fit in a couple of ours to finish up organizing the master bedroom and garage. Another family party this night too.

Sunday: Church, some grocery shopping, finish up what we didn't do for the bedroom and garage. Some yardwork. Decorate yard and house for Halloween (we're lagging on that and daughter is pitching a fit).

This weekend is fairly quiet, thank God. The parties should be small, less than 50 people per, so I don't have to cook that much. Smiley: yippee

Heading to NYC tonight on the luxurious Fung Wah bus for a high school friend's wedding this weekend. Might check out the Museum of Natural History tomorrow afternoon, and possibly meet up with some of my old FFXI shell-mates on Sunday before we head home.

Grats on the job offer, Totem!

Today been lazy and enjoying the smell of the pot roast Jonwin has in the crock pot.

Tomorrow I have a Halloween party to go to with my daughter. The host has inform us that we will be staying the night, since she doesn't want any one drinking home drunk.

Sunday, once I'm home, I'll be in recovery mode.
