Hannah's figured it out. This morning, while innocently brushing my hair in the bathroom, Hannah marched in and stared at me.

"Mama?"

"Yeah?"

"I think there's something wrong with you."

*sigh*

I asked. She just looked at me and left the room. She'd clearly been thinking long and hard about how to broach the subject and simply wasn't prepared for follow up questions.

It's off to the funny farm with you!

Maybe she just wants you out of the way so she can move in on Smash.

Maybe it's dating Smash that made her realize something was wrong.

She's no recollection of me *not* dating Smash, haha...she probably thinks *he's* the normal one and I'm weird because I'm not more like them.

If she's just now realizing this about you, don't you think that makes *her* the one with the problem?

Well...I tell her she's crazy all the time. I don't think it's in dispute. I'm just trying not to pass on TOO much of the crazy if I can help it.

I don't think it's working.

Oh, I read it as Smash being plural. Figured it'd born out my Jekyll-Hyde theory.

Back to the drawing board.

What, no li'l Smash to tote around on your hip? No tiny Smasharooey lips sipping that sweet milk of life from mother's caring breast? Where, oh, where have your nuturing and motherly instincts gone, Nexa??? Future Hah-vard bound zygotes everywhere are wailing in travail at the loss of of one of their own.

I need to wait until I have some level of certainty that Hannah won't immediately smother it in its sleep.

I love Hannah stories. That kid is going to be too smart for her own good.

Or yours, really.

Lol, I wasn't advocating the placement of Hannah behind bars, but rather the Quasimodo-like being that would be created from the loins of Smasharoo. You know, the one that would have a hump on his cranium and would be leeaping from spire to spire of his sanctuary, the Bah-stan Cathedral yelling, "I am not a Yale graduate! I am from Hah-vad! I am a huuuuuman!"

:D

I've been thinking that if we do have kids, I'm going to secretly train them to be Yankees fans when Smash isn't around.

That would precipitate smash being the one smothering it in its sleep.

My wife and I are currently fighting the same war over Thom. She won't even consider the Mets as neutral ground.
