WASHINGTON – Al-Qaida supporters suggested in a Web site message this week they would welcome a pre-election terror attack on the U.S. as a way to usher in a McCain presidency.

The message, posted Monday on the password-protected al-Hesbah Web site, said if al-Qaida wants to exhaust the United States militarily and economically, "impetuous" Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain is the better choice because he is more likely to continue the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"This requires presence of an impetuous American leader such as McCain, who pledged to continue the war till the last American soldier," the message said. "Then, al-Qaida will have to support McCain in the coming elections so that he continues the failing march of his predecessor, Bush."

SITE Intelligence Group, based in Bethesda, Md., monitors the Web site and translated the message.

"If al-Qaida carries out a big operation against American interests," the message said, "this act will be support of McCain because it will push the Americans deliberately to vote for McCain so that he takes revenge for them against al-Qaida. Al-Qaida then will succeed in exhausting America till its last year in it."

Mark Salter, a senior McCain adviser, said he had heard about the Web site chatter but had no immediate comment.

The message is credited to a frequent and apparently respected contributor named Muhammad Haafid. However, Haafid is not believed to have a direct affiliation with al-Qaida plans or knowledge of its operations, according to SITE.

SITE senior analyst Adam Raisman said this message caught SITE's attention because there has been little other chatter on the forums about the U.S. election.

SITE was struck by the message's detailed analysis — and apparent jubilation — about American financial woes.

"What we try to do is get the pulse of the jihadist community," Raisman said. "And it's about the financial crisis."

Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden issued a videotape just four days before the 2004 U.S. presidential election directly addressing the American people.

You know, it doesn't take a genius to point out how easily a Pubie could say that this could easily be terrorist extremists trying to sway people to vote for Obama by making it look like they want McCain in power.

And the best part is, they're probably about evenly divided, if they think it's really going to make a difference at all.

The terrorists can say whatever they want as far as I'm concerned. I'm perfectly content to keep killing them in droves, bushel basketfuls, scores, heaps, and by the metric tonne. As we decimate two entire generations of Arabs and Muslims, their ability to breed and propogate will be severely reduced, allowing our proxy, Isreal, to step into the vacuum and impose their will on the Middle East.

If electing McCain or Obama keeps Al Qaida recruiting males ranging from the ages of 12-60, it keeps a society already suppressed population-wise due to geographical, religious, economic, and agricultural reasons from increasing. Just adding to the dead by .556mm lead poisoning simply expedites the other factors. Now if we could only figure out how to add a male sterility drug to the aquifers in the region, we could effectively end the existence of the Arab race, thus finishing an age-old problem that has been around since the dawn of man.

Be realistic. If the Muzzie extremists are given a respite, it'll give them time to breed. And considering that they have children like cockroaches lay eggs, it's best to eliminate the opportunity for them to have sex on this mortal coil, and keep them pining for those 70 virgins in the hereafter.

Am I being cynical or cold about this? Yep. But the systematic destruction of a people who refuse to get along with the rest of the world seems to me to be the perfect final solution. Zeig heil.

Yeah, it's always been the stupidest argument, no matter which way it's used. It's like the poison scene in The Princess Bride.

Uh, no. They're not being killed that fast. Maybe if we began carpet bombing the middle east with nuclear weapons, that'd happen.

According to Totem this will not work. Cockroaches > nuclear weapons

Maybe we should blanket the middle east in a fog of Raid?

Considering it takes all of 12 years minimum to raise, train, and outfit a terrorist-- at least an effective one --then yes, we are doing a very good job destroying extremist Muslim's manpower base. Considering that we have or are killing or maiming them in very large numbers and that it is an already recognised issue among the Middle Eastern population, the severe decline of eligible males in all aspects of life will impact the Middle East for generations.

The only thing there is to dispute about this, bsphil, is just how large the number of dead Middle Eastern males actually is.

Regardless of your outlook, the disruption of normal patterns of life which are conducive to marriage, babies, and population growth are and have been curtailed for quite some time now. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that there will be a shortage of eligible males for the predominately Muslim female population.

Guess it's a good thing Islam allows for polygamy then.
