If you don't want to read about my kid, then move along.

Hannah's dad is in basic training at the moment. We finally just got his address so we can send him some mail. So, I sat down with Hannah so she could write her first letter to her father. She wrote the "Dear Daddy" and the "Love Hannah" and then I took dictation for the rest. I thought it was pretty funny.

In her words:

"Dear Daddy,

I love you Daddy. Today I went to the mall and I rode on a spaceship. I got my hair cut. I made fall decorations with Mommy. I want to tell you a story about a monster. Once upon a time there was an old monster and she said "Rarrrr!" Then she knocked on the door and there was a ladybug with a flower on her. That's the story. There are no more stories left. Love, Hannah" She drew a picture of a brontosaurus on the bottom.

hahaha, I hope he likes it.

She tells Smash and I stories all the time. The funniest thing about them is her every-other-sentence interjection of "And then ONE DAY", hahaha. She asks that we make up stories for her about random things too. If we're driving somewhere, she'll say, "Mommy? Can you tell me a story about a green sign?" and I'll have to come up with something. Then she'll ask me if I want to hear a story about something she sees, like "a red tree", haha. Usually, monsters or dinosaurs become involved at some point.

If you haven't already, buy a scrapbook to keep those, especially when she starts writing them on her own.

...well it's a letter Thumb...I'm going to mail it. Silly. Her dad can keep them though, I'll just use the boards, haha.

That's so cute Nexa!

The latest funny thing my son does is he makes a really great frustrated boy. I tell him, "Be frustrated!" and he puffs up air, goes "Ahhhhhhh!" and droops his shoulders down with his teeth clenched.
