Before I left work, I joked to my co workers that I knew that I'd get home, turn on the game, and we'd come back.

They all laughed at me.

Walking home from the T, I heard a loud cheer from Fenway. I hurried home.

I got home, checked my mail, and lo and behold my World Series tickets had arrived. I scoffed at the irony.

I turned on the game as Coco's hit tied the game.

2 more and I can go to the WS!!!

Yeah, when I last checked, the score was 5-0 TB and I thought, oh well, that was that and Smash said, "oh well, next year!". Then I was listening to the radio and heard what the final score was this morning and I thought I'd misheard it and had to check as soon as I got to my office, hahahaha. I LOVE THEM!

Yeah, things were looking really grim for the Red Sox, but they turned it around; just like they did in '04 and '07.

I was pretty bummed out when it was 7-0 and was gonna shut the TV off, but I ************* it if they're going out, I'll go out with em. Then they did it again; Papi coming through when it really matters once again. And JD Drew.

It's funny about JD Drew; except for one month in the past 2 years, he's been horrible in the regular season. But, come playoff time, he gets it done. He's great in pressure situations because he's the very definition of even keel.

I wish Francona would pitch Lester for Game 6 though; he usually never messes around with his pitching rotation, but I think the Red Sox need their best pitcher on the mound. Yes, you have to win Game 7 to win the series, but you have to win Game 6 first. You don't won't to be in a situation where you lose with your best pitcher sitting on the bench. He'd be on normal rest, so that's not an issue.

Plus, if you pitch Lester, who's more likely to pitch deep into the game, you have a fully rested bullpen for Game 7.

Yeah, we knew Drew was awesome when he played in St. Louis all those years. Problem is he's a bit of a pansy and gets hurt too much. Smiley: frown

Ugh, am I the only TB Rays fan here? Well, I was born 4 blocks from the Trop, and, I remember going to the games when it was like 4$ lmao.

One thing though TB fans SUCK. Sure, they like the rays now, but I remember going to the games and seeing literally 4,000 people and they just voted AGAINST a new stadium downtown near the pier.

Oh well, Rays are going to win the series. I for one never thought ever they would make it to the WS with Yanks and Sox in our division due to your 200+mil payroll every year! I hate you guys!

Go Rays!!!!

Proud St. Petersburgian
