I'm actually kind of impressed with how McCain can tell a total lie with a straight face. Kind of like the View interviee where one of the gals pointed out that his attack ads were demonstratably false and McCain simply said "No, they're all true."

People are calling McCain a terrorist at Obama rallies? Really?

Context?

Seriously a 5 second clip is about as much worth as a thousand shares in Fannie Mae.

Yeah, and I'm sure if there were a 5 second clip of Obama saying "God damn, I really hate white people", you wouldn't put any worth in that.

It would depend if there was a period at the end of that sentence or it went on after like "when they say Im a terrorist and a traitor"

See how context can change a sentance.

Of course context can change the meaning of statements, but if you go watch the full clip posted 2 posts above yours you will see the context does not change the meaning (in this case).

Democratic rumor mill is buzzing about how McCain has hired William Timmons, a former lobbyist for Saddam Hussein, to be his presidental transition director.

Maybe we should be calling McCain a terrorist! Smiley: eek

Thank you for agreeing that a 5 second clip is utterly meaningless. The full clip provides context and allows for a considered opinion on the statement.

He was clearly talking about the fact of negative statements made at rallies, not the specific language that was used.

Did she follow up with an example of a false statement made in a McCain ad?

She stated two examples when she asked the question.
