I'd been having increasing difficulties with Internet Explorer - page loading errors mostly.

I talked an IT guy into letting me load Chrome today - on a trial basis. I've been using it for the last hour or so.

So far I like it. The first most obvious difference I've noticed is it's MUCH faster.

Anyone else using or tried Chrome?

Do your IT guys have something against Firefox?

I use it at home and I'm liking it. Loads up nice and fast. The only trouble I have is occasionally it seems to hang, but not for long. I can't use it at work yet, they don't have a Mac version.

No, I had asked if I could install Chrome. I wanted to try it.

Mostly they have stuff against any browser that's not IE, just because they don't want to have to support multiple browsers for 1000's of state employees.

I use firefox at home.

I use Chrome at home, and I really like it. Especially the homepage, where you get your 9 most visited sites in neat little boxes, I really like that. As for the rest, it's pretty standard. I haven't run into any problems or difficulty with it.

I tried chrome, got annoyed with it and went back to the avantbrowser frontend instead.

I like the interface and the speed a lot but I also get the freezing issue occasionally. (Its not like other browsers don't freeze though.)

One thing I can complain about is that it doesn't have a good way to add/manage bookmarks, you have to right click and add each URL manually.

Also you will run into some incompatible plug-ins, but they are working on those. When I first got Chrome it wouldn't work with CNN Live (Silverlight plugin or something) but it works now.

What they hope to be the real advantages of Chrome (more application compatibility) haven't yet been implemented.
