...due to the ****** economy, what are you going to do more of?

here are some of my picks:

1.) Sleep.

2.) Have more sex with wife.

3.) Organize my entire collection of Topps basbeball cards from the 80's including putting them into excel spreadsheet.

4.) Join a raiding guild.

5.) Learn to hunt/gather.

What about you?

I doubt I'll do more of anything. I'll probably do a lot less of quite a few things though. You know, like working.

I've spent loads of time with the kids, played sh*t loads of EQ2, and looked for a new job.

I have a work placement next month so i'm pretty hopeful.

Not sure if i count though since i didn't lose my job, I gave it up for the kids.

This is why poor people have more children than rich people.

Period. Especially if you've got bills to pay. Sure, you'll be sleeping alot from being in a state of depression, just not with her. Thems the facts of life.

You can combine these, and even add 'crafting' to the mix, if you pick the right MMO.

More unemployment = more sick people.

Makes my job more secure, and lowers the cost of beer, minions and servants.

I play 3 MMO, watch a lot of tv, and generally do a lot of nothing. I thought about writing, but no one cares so why bother?

Simple answer: Tell them you're sick.

I feel for those of you who have jobs in this economy and worry about losing them. I have not had to work since 1973 thanks to a military disability for not ducking fast enough when shots rang out. I am not rich nor am i poor. I make enough to keep me happy, keep my bills paid, have savings, able to travel 2-3 times a year.

So i will continue to do what i have been and that is anything i want whenever i want.

My job is fairly secure. Even though I work in the auto industry. We just started feeling the strain, but it's just a stop in growth rather than a shrinking right now.

They can't get anyone else willing to do what I do for what they pay me. I know I make much less than what other people in my field make. I chose this job because it's a mere 15 minutes from where I live. Other jobs were offering 1.5-2x as much yet I would have had to move clear across the state and/or country.

Na, we are getting everything that everyone else is losing. We've been doing pretty well. We even got jobs FROM China rather than losing them TO China (We had better quality, and actually were cheaper). And we got a ton of work on foriegn cars (mostly in Germany).

I am in a recession proof position right now as my company's contracts are paid by people's water bill. Even if people use less water the DEP will just raise the water rates to balance it out. Plus the work under the contract is required by a consent order with the state, thus even if somehow they decide to cut corners instead, it won't be these contracts. As of the last schedule the work will not be complete until 2013, possibly later, and I make six figures. I do feel your fear and hope the boneheads in congress can get add some additional help for this mess.

I also lucky to be in the don't have job so not much to worry about here camp. That is until one of my kids decides they need to move back home with mommy.

At moment I'm praying that my s-i-l is able to find a job to replace the one he learn today is toast, due to all their contracts ending due to companies cutting costs. He is getting paid for all of next month, and has build a impressive resume for having just 2 jobs since college, both at start ups.

Best jobs to have these days will be related to infrastructure. My grand fathers both kept family above water during the depression that way. There is always a need to get goods and communications out to people. Local and State Government jobs aren't as safe, as tax base shrinks. Ellicott City, MD Lost it Charter bankrupt back in 1935. Not good when it is the County seat.

I disagree.

I predict soup kitchens are going to be looking for full-time staff in significant numbers.
