I think I already made a post asking for peoples thoughts on plastic surgery. But that was then, this is now.

I'm trying really hard to age gracefully, but I got this spot on my face. It's a lil calcium nodule. It's right under my eye. Been there for ages but it's appearance comes and goes and was always very unnoticable.

BLAH! It doesn't go away anymore and is getting a bit larger. It's still not 'gross', but it could be some day.

Removal is easy, but cosmetic and not covered by insurance.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna fork over the bucks to get it removed.

Dot's right - I'm SO vain!

I plan on growing old as obnoxiously as possible.

I can see Nexa thrashing the beautician for not making her hair blue enough.

Nothing wrong with pride in your appearance El, nothing at all.

Just so long as you don't follow up the removal of a blemish you feel uncomfortable about with Botox, facelifts, an increase in boob size to 44FF, a tummy tuck and hair transplant, you should be fine.

If you do however, I want pics okay?

Beautician...what kind of nonsense is that. I've never been to one and I don't plan on starting anytime soon. I can't wait until I'm just old enough to make people wonder if I'm being snarky or senile...then the real fun begins.

Jeez, just because you are getting older doesn't mean you haven't a care how you look. Any bumbs, horns and hairy moles are outlawed 'round these parts.

And OMG Mr. Winky has been replaced!

I had some moles removed in high school from my face. Was it vanity? Probably but there was also a cancer side. Therefore it was ok in my court of opinion.

I would go for it since it seems to bother you alot. Most people probably wouldn't care but if it makes you less subcouncious then go for it.

I personally will not get any sort of cosmetic surgery or even get my grays colored but its also different for guys.

Unless, of course, more face moles show up. Smiley: cool

Side effect of bovine growth hormone. She needs to switch to breast milk.

I'm an aging female. I need my calcium dammit!

Kakar, it is just a little white bump. It looks kinda like a little whiteheaded pimple.

NOW I'm really getting self-concious!

EWWWWWWWWWW, that's DISGUSTING! Do you wear a mask?! I'd like, totally wear a mask. Or a bandaid. Maybe a bandaid with a mask over it. Not that I'd EVER leave the house looking like THAT.

tut tut
You need to get over it. Take a good hi-res photo of your facial appendage and use it as an avatar. It will help you confront your self-doubt.
and you have the consolation of knowing that you will be grossing everyone out in the process. win/win

Let's hope she doesn't go to this guy.

Me, I've resisted aging as long as possible. My body may be falling apart already, but at heart I'm still a rambunctious six year old.

I toy off an on with the idea of getting boobs, but I always come back to "hells no" at the thought of a foreign object in my body for life. Something removed though, sure. Go for it.

That's been my thoughts on cosmetic surgery. I'll have stuff taken out, but I'm hesitant to have something put in.

Not to mention that it's harder to get a mammogram and detect breast cancer with implants.

You could always get the weak, human versions removed if you're going android anyway.
