Camden-based food processor Campbell Soup Company was the only stock in the Standard & Poor's 500 index to post a gain during Monday's historic sell-off.

Its stock rose 12 cents in the midst of the biggest one-day point decline in the history of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

See what I did thar??

Bugger! And I sunk all my cash into tarps. and cardboard boxes!

Little did I realise that the soon to be homeless were more concerned with feeding their faces with 'hearty minestrone' and 'comforting tomato' soups, than getting a makeshift shelter built under the nearest overpass...

Bah, Foiled again!

Hormel's (makers of Spam) stock is up today. I've also heard that Peanut Butter could be lucrative and, oddly enough, cig sales tend to go up during a recession.

I've also heard speculation that today's recession will spur sales of at-home entertainment such as computer games:/
