I spent a night under a bed in a Florida motel room back in the early '90's.

Glad you asked.. Because some insane fucking crackhead was banging on the window threatening to shoot me because I wouldn't come out and give me all of my money, thats why!
It was a motel around the corner from the Greyhound station in Tampa. I shoulda known it was going to be a problem when the manager looked weirded out when I replied to his question "How long do you want the room for?" and I said "one night", and he said "What! All night?"
Anyway the skinny fuck with no laces in his Adidas who followed me there from the station, reckoned I wouldn't have found the place without his help, and he wanted cash. Having just spent 3 months in Guatemala I knew how to handle him and told him to 'GFY'.
Half an hour later, when it got really dark, is when he came back with a gun wich he waved at me while I looked thru the spyhole in the door. thats when i pushed the bed up against the wall under the barred (luckily) window and spent the next three hours wishing the phone worked so that a) I could call the police, and b)I could call for a Pizza.
He left around 2 am. And even tho the managers booth was 20 meteres away, he swore he never heard a thing. Cnut.
Yeah so Florida can fuck right off in my book.
