Right now Elne's phone is off her oldest girl's plan. They have a spare phone now since the youngest girl now has a plan with her boyfriend. ( Out of state)
That phone would cost about 13 a month. I'm just a bit resistant to shell out the bucks for something used once or twice a month for about 5 min.

There are times you aren't at work and away from at phone, when I wish I could reach you by cell phone. I should make you carry my phone when you are out shopping, since there been a few times that Jamie was going in same direction and would have been happy to give you a ride home, but we had no way to contact you.

Cell phones can be a curse, but my girls felt I needed one in case I was out and suddenly needed help. Nature of FMS is one can never tell when one's body is going to say enough and give out on you. Being able to have someone come get me, if needed keeps me on a cell phone lease.

There are times I wish I didn't carry the cell phone around, making it so easy for the girls to call me. I've been known to leave it downstairs so I can take a nap in peace. Oldest loves to call me just as I finally start to fall asleep. They also tend to forget that I'm in group therapy between 10am and 1pm, 3 days a week and don't always remember to set phone to silent.

I have no idea the prices or anything at all, but would it be more economical for you to get a pager Jonwin? It sounds like you just need one in case someone needs to get ahold of you in a case of emergency or whatever...maybe that would be a better option?

I like my LG Envy with Verizon. Other than it does not have a wrist cord and cannot be secured, thus slips out of my flight suit's breast pocket when I forget to zip it closed, I have absolutely no complaints. 2.0 mega-pixel camera, QWERTY keyboard, and a speaker for hands free/Bluetooth free talking. It has Bluetooth though if you want to look like the Borg assimilated you too.

Well, with Verizon Nexa and I could call each other free of charge should we wish to argue politics or discuss Smash's hygiene or something like that. We have encouraged our family to move to Verizon seeing that most cell phone plans are more or less the same thing in terms of cost. The usefulness of not being tied to a number of minutes when calling other Verizon users is very advantageous to that end.

We just keep a minimum number of minutes for, say, business calls and to other who aren't on Verizon, and talk/text/send pictures like crazy to our immediate circle of family and friends. That saves a considerable amount of money.
