whether I should be laughing or horrified that this woman intentionally did this to herself.

Quote:
Woman burnt to death after setting her own car alight in road-rage incident

It was the ultimate expression of road rage. A furious woman driver died after ramming another vehicle and spinning her wheels so fast that her own car burst into flames.

Serena Sutton-Smith, 54, burnt to death after refusing to get out of her car as she sat with her foot flat on the accelerator.

She spun the wheels so fast that her tires disintegrated and the metal rims sent a shower of sparks into the engine, igniting the brake fluid and setting the car on fire.

Appalled onlookers urged her to get out of the car as the flames licked around her but she told them to “F*** off”, an inquest in Gloucester was told.

This unfortunate incident could easily have been avoided: women shouldn't drive.

Do we have an article? I just assumed she was a ***** and had hit someone who had to stop suddenly because she was tailgating.

The inquest heard that Paula Small was driving her Fiat Punto when Ms Sutton-Smith emerged from a side road without stopping, causing her to swerve to avoid a collision. Mrs Small was forced on the grass verge and she flashed her lights as Ms Sutton-Smith passed her.

Ms Sutton-Smith then pulled over and Mrs Small stopped a short way in front of her. She was getting out when the Vauxhall Nova rammed her car.

So... I was almost right. She pulls out in front of someone, then gets really mad when they get mad at her. Then slams the other car and burns to death.

I'm pretty sure the world did not lose anything.

Apparently she was bipolar.

Oddly, the witness descriptions remind me of my mother o.O

I'm pretty sure this makes me a sociopath, but I laughed and I'm sure I don't care that she's dead. One less douchebag on the road ruining my experience. Did she emigrate from Massachusetts?

I'm horrified to hear she drove a Fiat Punto. Should it be that easy to set those things on fire?

To be fair flea, i'm 99% sure that when testing the safety of a car no designer says "Lets try spinning the wheels until the rubber melts and then keep on going to see what happens."

Common sence would dictate somewhere between not going anywhere at full throttle and the tyres melting you would take your foot off the accelerator.

The other lady was in the Fiat. The barbecued one was driving a Vauxhall Nova.
