Friday is Talk Like a Pirate Day folks, booty it up.

I won't be in my office on Friday to celebrate, so I'm planning on hiding treasure before I leave on Thursday and then sending an email Friday morning giving directions to the location of the map.

Did they move the "Reply to This" and "Thread Index" links, or am I just confusing forums?

Anyways...umm...I don't believe in "Talk like an Idiot" day but I may just get a cutlass and take swings at anyone who does.

decided today we're gonna throw a party. 8 kids, 5 femmes, all outfitted as pirates, looking for lost treasure, and having fun. The boys and I went out this afternoon after I called peeps to get a feel for who may wish to come and grabbed a bunch of pirate stuff, from chocolate golden coins to hide, pirate gear, a treasure chest, and booty to fill it with. Should be a great time yaaaarrrgh!

On the USS Constellation (museum) I will make sure the crew knows to invite all pirates to the offical navy dance. Only one dance per pirate, unless the line breaks and the fall doesn't finish it.

On the other hand, the late Joe Mayhew, amateur artist and collections head at the library of congress taught me advanced pirate talk.

AR that be pirate talk. S that be advanced pirate talk.

This works for me. In case I haven't figured out how to swing a cutlass through the internet by then, I'll be utilizing the red arrow in abundance.

That's because I'm super great. Yesterday they had to take the coffee maker away to be serviced because the heating element wasn't working correctly. So, I dressed up some packets of coffee and cut out card stock to make ears, eyes, mouths and tears and make speech bubbles saying such things as "Why GOD WHY!?!?!" and "What did we do to deserve this!??!" and set them up where the coffee maker usually sits. Sure, coworkers aren't caffienated, but they haven't stopped by either to complain or ask me what happened to the coffee maker. Time well spent I think.

If I spent too much time on it, I was fearful that questions would be raised regarding my need for more work.
