Tomahto etc etc.

Hit a pothole in the road last week and noticed the fornt n/s tyre had a kink in the side wall.

Took it into the garage and they confirmed that the front and rear n/s tyres had been nerfed, and found a crack in the sidewall of the front o/s tyre.

2 Front tyres: £164 each
1 Rear tyre: £135

Total Tyre Bill: £463 = $832

Not having to pay the bill: Priceless. Smiley: laugh

Thank Bob I opted to lease instead of buy. With the cost of Insurance, road tax, tyres, servicing, it's getting chuffing ridiculous.

Mo bettah.

Do you ever listen to that Oysterband CD?

"The Shouting End of Life" came on random play on my iPod last night, and I thought of my nubian bad-boy-buddy.

"Limey is an old American and Canadian slang nickname for the British, originally referring to British sailors. The term is believed to derive from lime juicer, referring to the Royal Navy and Merchant Navy practice of supplying lime juice to British sailors to prevent scurvy."

So Tarv should be limeyer then Nobby, or else he is spotted, and has worse teeth then gbaji.

Nobby, I assume that, in part, the large sum represents high performance tyres? I get basically the 4 best tires I can put on my car for about half that.

Are those tires (yes. I said it!) freaking gold plated or something?

Last time I bought 2 tires, rotation, alignment, etc the entire bill was about $250. Now, it's not like I'm buying the top of the line tires or anything, but I'm not buying bargain basement either. Just the standard tire for the make/model of the car. You know. Ones that last for a couple years or so, even if I do hit a pothole now and then...

18" Ultra-Lo profiles, so yeah.

They're not so much a tyre, as a black smear around the wheel rim.
