So, Knox. Do you do this all for fun, or do you really believe it?

Were she not running on the Republican ticket right now you'd be the first in line whining about her overreaching her authority.

I know it. You know it.

She's not qualified and she's not very bright.

Who wants to bet that what she was actually yelling was "Quit foolin' around and vacuum the damn living room!"

God and yet, that doesn't keep people from getting elected. ******* anti-intellectualism is ruining our electoral process.

My impression is that it was more akin to "WTF are you retards doing?" than "Oh my sweet God, please stop!"

If she was that concerned, I don't think she would have stayed upstairs during the whole event. I rather think she would have come downstairs and physically intervened.

"NO! Young man, you are NOT going to be try out being tasered!" *rips tape off arms* "Now get up off the floor!"

And you can't express that without doctoring the story to make "yelled" into "screamed"?

Interesting.

Jophed,

You realize yell and scream are synonyms don't you?

Not really. Screaming implies panic or loss of control. Yelling is just raising one's voice, either to be heard over distance or for emphasis.

Knox, you realize 11 year old's do stupid shit every day, and no one gives a crap, right? Yet you insist that Palin was in the right to pressure Monegan to fire Wooten, resulting in his own firing when he refused/ignored pressure from the Palin family to simply let the proper authority avenues handle the situation. Do I have this right?

But have very different connotations, depending on context. Screaming often makes people think of fear first. One screams in fear in a traumatic situation over which one has no control. Of course there is also the secondary meaning, of extremely heated yelling, as in a violent "Domestic".

Yelling often makes people think of fighting and anger. You yell at someone you are mad at, and you do it from a position of control, when you are standing your ground, or agressively attacking.

Parents yell at their kids all the time as part of family life, and Parental yelling is almost always done from a position of control.

You're right. He asked someone to do it for him cause he was too much of a sally to do it himself. Doesn't change the point.

knoxsouthy wrote:
That's not why he was fired. It didn't help but the real reason isn't being discussed, you know the actual budgetary issues she first said.

So by you saying "It didn't help[...]", you admit that it influenced the decision. Was his job in jeopardy prior to the pressuring to remove Wooten? Do you know the answer to this question? Please share, if you do...I'm sure there's only about 1 billion news outlets that would be dying to get their hands on your information!

The wife didn't want me to throw my daughter up in the air, but I still did it, and she loved it.
