Morel's taste great with just a simple breading and frying.

http://thegreatmorel.com/recipes.html

As far as berries are concerned... I just eat them.

Edit:
BTW, don't do the saltine crackers... just use flour.

If you do anything other than flash-fry thim in 50/50 oil/butter, and serve them on toast, you're a heathen.

Abything else, you may as well use tinned mushrooms Smiley: rolleyes

England: where everything is inexplicably served on toast.

It's not like you guys have particularly great bread or anything either.

I do like Morels. But I find them really rich. If I ate more than just a handfull at a time they kinda make me feel sick (Not in an allergic way, more like a "man I just ate a ton of candy" way).

My grandmother on the otherhand, she can eat them non-stop.

Morel Mushrooms just inescapably sound like a MMO item to me.

With really good mushrooms, I'm tend to just slice them up and fry them in butter. Good mushrooms speak for themselves, and go well with a lot of meats and vegetables, as a side dish. Doing the straight out mushrooms on toast thing would be good with great mushrooms. Although I'd be tempted to have some eggs on the toast with the mushrooms too.

Well yes, the French and Italian make good bread. The English make good bread pudding though.

I totally failed to find that when I was there. However, I was in Ealing and it was 1992 and I worked a lot and didn't get out too much, so it definitely could have existed, in great quantity.

Just ensure you don't die. I won't inquire as to how you acquired them, however they do have deadly look-alikes.

I didn't die, they were Delicious!

I got them from the mushroom seller at the farmers market who has been there for about 5 years without killing anyone. Besides, there are no toxic False Morels or anything that looks even close in Washington, Oregon, or Idaho.
