Yay for me. I am off work for a week as of this morning. I do not plan to think about, talk about, or visit my place of employment for the next seven days.

Beer. It's what's for dinner. And lunch. And maybe even breakfast.

I had a busy morning...OK????!

Took the kids to the library and the park, before hitting the grocery store, video store and gas station. Tropical storm Hanna is expected here this afternoon so we'll be layin' low.

Tomorrow night, I have a ladies night deal. Empanadas and wine. Sunday, will likely be chores and hanging out. The usual.

I just rolled out of bed. I think I'll scratch myself in various places for a little while, maybe grab a glass of milk(hmmm, that sounds nice), and then rummage through to cupboard til I find something to munch on that doesn't require cooking.

I've a b-day to attend tomorrow. Think I'll go shopping for beer for the birthday boy.

Going to be rained on a lot tomorrow what with Hanna coming to town. I wasnt scheduled to work but due to high tides expected they have closed the ships for visitors. Only going to have a line watch crew on board. Expect to get some play time in eq, and get wet going to pick up elne's meds as she was too depressed to go out today to get them.
Sunday I am scheduled to work but bet that will depend on time and tides and whether it will be safe for folks to board the ships. (Its a question of how steep the gangways will be and if they are long enough to reach the pier.0

Funny, that's what my weekend looks like too! There's a hurricane headed this way and football season started this week. I get to see how Brett Favre plays with my Gang.

Do I have to explain the difference between how my body become one large ache when the air pressure drops as a tropical depression moves into the area and mental depression. I am not depress, though by the time Hanna passes us, the pain may end up making me depress.

I'm trying to figure out how to enjoy the storm and deal with the pain. At rate of how sore I been since the first band of rain reach southern VA, I'm temped to have a few Gin and Tonics.

Actually if I had walked to the pharmacy, I would have pick up a six pack on my way home. Would have been the first time in the local liquor store, though I'm not sure they even carry any beer I would think of drinking. Do they even sell anything that doesn't taste like **** water?

Right now I'm trying to enjoy a vacation with my Dad. I arrived at his house last Wednesday. Today we drove from his place in the woods on a lake in Northern Wisconsin, to my sis's house in Minneapolis. My other sister, from Nebraska, should be arriving here shortly. We've not all been together in years.

Meanwhile, back at home someone hacks our bank account, charging about $3k worth of electronic stuff from some internet electronic site. In response the bank freezes up all our money. My cell phone is being difficult so I'm having a hard time communicating with my husband. I think everything is straightened out with the bank, except that the account is essentially closed and a new one opened. But it's now the weekend. Banks are closed. My cash card is worthless, and I'm nearly out of money. I inadvertently let my frustration with my hubby, and the lack of info, show in front of my Dad. My Dad decides it's an open invitation to rail on my husband about anything and everything:(

I want to go home, hug my man and forget about my father saying nasty things about him...again. But....my Dad is my dad and he's 73 years old and cares about me and we have plans to see through.

Anyway, I'm ignoring them all atm, while I get caught up on Asylum threads on my nephews computer.

I'm so sorry Thumb:( ....my condolences.

On our way to watch Jr. play his first soccer game, then on to a BBQ this evening and then a Sunday at home. No big plans. Sept 11 is my Dad's birthday, so I should buy him a card...

Hanna went through and blew out a transformer near us, so we went about 5 hours without power.

Been checking email since and had to check out 2 wheel electric scooter with a seat. since a friend sent money for one so I can get around. I can either go to Sam's club or Wal-mart for the best price. The Schwinn he is giving me money for is only good for about 13 miles, but then he wants to see if it will be allow at the MD Ren-Faire.

He has a Segway with a seat. and get hassle every once an awhile at stores and yet to get the DC Metro let him use it to get around the area. He got a rude remark directed at him last time he went to the Ren-Faire and they wrote back to him that they would retrain all the staff at the gate. The Scooter is sidewalk legal in MD, so I hope to also use it around town and along a few trail. Seems a lot of people like them for getting around camp grounds. I know I would have love to have it this summer, when I was at retreat. Having to get someone to call for the golf cart to take me around, after I got stung on my foot was a pain.

I will be visiting my dad in the hospital. Assuming he is awake/aware enough when I'm there.

The week before Labor Day weekend he was in the hospital with double pneumonia. (Right on time - 57% of stroke victims either die or are readmitted to the hospital with pneumonia within a year). Was released back to home care last Friday. Got to spend Labor Day weekend with his sister (who flew out to see him). This last Tuesday had a 102.7 ancillary temp (taken under the armpit) and went back into the hospital.

I'm sure most of you will have better weekends.
