Didn't they say last time that McCain looked like a lump of cottage cheese on top of lime Jell-o?

After the pitch black intro with the voice over, I was expecting a laser-light show.

No one wanted to applaud respecting Obama Smiley: frown

Why does "you're struggling to put food on your table and stay in your homes..." provoke the crowd to chant "USA USA"?

Okay, 2 minutes of this is enough. That's more than I watched of the Democratic Convention.

Sure, we can't secure a room, the borders though, no problem!

Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

It's not that. They have war and abortion protesters coming into the stadium and down the stairs towards the stage, and the crowd chants that to cover their yells and screams while they get hauled out.

lets see, did ya know he is a war hero?

iraq is a good thing, iran is next.
russia is bad, but not gona do anything more than prey for georgia.
schools: charter and vouchers, same as bush.
healthcare: hmos.
energy: mo oil. drill drill drill.
economy: more corperate tax cuts, higher personal allowance
jobs: oil drillers.

wow, this is bush page two.

mccain is a good man. love the conviction his speach writters gave him. but if anyone really listened, without googlie eyes like gbaji, all you would have herd is....

"we are gona change bush policies to mccain policies in name only"

there was no justification for iraq.
attacking iran would be really really stupid.
we walked away from our treaty with russia and wonder why they are pissed? charter schools are closing in florida faster than homes are going to bankrupcy, and vouchers only work for people capable of paying the remaining part of the tuition.
more drilling isnt going to make us energy independant, getting OFF oil will.
more corperate tax cuts means richer corperate CEOs, not more money for the middle class.

his party brought us here and he has supported it 100 percent with this speach all the while chanting "change".

the "change" is going to be on the office door only.

his speach was very motivating. and i have to tell you, im as conservative as can be about personal responsibility. if it was more than a sound bite for the repubs, i would be a republican.

i voted for bush SR. and for the life of me, i cant see how clinton whiped him. in hind sight, i think clinton did a good job.

but after the last 8 years, and america TORTURING priosners of war....then justifying it, it would take the second coming of Christ to get me to vote republican ever again.

First half of the speech was not that great, but he really picked it up a notch in the second half and the end.

Meh, and that's what I missed when I had to get ready for work. I'll take your word that it wasn't awful until I can watch it for myself, but I have serious doubts...
