SE favors religious fanaticism?Follow

I've played since US PS2 release, and ever since I've had the exact same bazaar comment. Many have found it funny, and I often get random /tells of folks busting up laughing at it. It is as follows:
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b114/jubiejanks/oldcmt.png
And it was like this for 4 years. Then along game a GM:
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b114/jubiejanks/tells1.png
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b114/jubiejanks/tells2.png
Since this all happened while in Dragon's Aery, I went ahead and asked in /say:
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b114/jubiejanks/says1.png
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b114/jubiejanks/says2.png
After seeing that the individual that claimed to have reported me was in a rival shell (not just another end game shell but specifically a shell that has competed, in a dirty fashion, with my shell in the past), it dawned on me that the only reason this guy claimed to be offended was because of the 'shell relationship' so to speak. Now this is where you come in. Do you feel this is justice? Was I being vulgar and no one happened to be offended by it for 4 years straight until just now? Is the GM trampling my ability to conduct myself in a mature fashion, in a non-offensive means? Well needless to say, this is how my comment reads now:

Dude, you can't have an opinion that goes against what a majority of people believe, you know that by now.

This is not the correct forum.

It's quite possible that there isn't a correct forum, but this is definitively a much less correct forum than your other options.

You end every sentence with something like o.o, O.o, o.O, or O.O. Are we relly supposed to take this seriously?

For the trillionth time, if you don't like it, don't play. YYou agree to the TOS every time you log in. FFXI is not a free speech zone.
#8REDACTED, Posted: Sep 02 2008 at 2:09 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Its also completely unoffensive.

The Asylum does like to discuss, debate and have exchanges over differing viewpoints of religion, faith and spirituality. However, I do have to tell you that your foray into the Asylum to point out that FFXI has religious fanatics is beyond my reckoning capabilities. For ******* Altana's sake, no one here gives a Star Sibyl **** about your problem with a GM.

Oh, and before you go all high and mighty, yes, I do play FFXI so I know the drill with linkshell rivalry.

And yea I think he knows you play FFXI, if you didn't, your statement there would have been a bit loony.

It IS ******* offensive.

Pokejesus? c'mon. you're a damn troll..

You're probably some spoiled obstinate little brat who respects nothing but your own skin so I'm not even going to bother trying to explain why that may be offensive to some people.

It does not offend me.. I think it was you desperately trying to be provocative and now 4 years later someone notices and here you are trying to get your rocks off again with it.

To be honest Pikko, before the thread progressed into this comedy material, it would have been better to move it over to Valefor's forum. After all, I recognize most of these names from Valefor.

Jubie, the bazaar comment was just a stupid provocation that would have led to this sooner or later.
Still, these pictures gave me a good laugh. Go to San D'oria's cathedral if you want to see a religion in FFXI.

Second edit: I reworded the second paragraph to identify correctly the person I was talking about.

Jubie.

No. One. F*cking. Cares.

I'm sure you had that GM trembling when you told him you'd post screenshots online.

BTW, he coulda dinged you for that, too. FF will only allow you to post actual chat if you're using the Windower third-party tool. He should've bamsticked your *** right there.

Actually, you can take screenshots with fraps, which is allowed under the ToS. So not quite.

Because it's a religious fanatical regime.

@OP:

When that nice little lady on the bus kindly asks you to turn down the music on your iPod because she's bothered by it, would that make all senior citizens a music hating ***** as well?

You're taking this way too far m8. You make a cheesy joke about a religion, chance is that it's gonna bounce back at some point. It's better like this, no harm in changing a joke after 4 friggin' years.
