Supposed buzz is for Alaskan governor Sarah Palin. That would be awesome. Nothing will say "Maverick" like an inexperienced gal under currently investigation for abusing her powers as governor Smiley: laugh

I can't even begin to conceptualize how they'd let him make a pick that stupid.

Congratulations, you just galvanized every disgruntled Hillary voter into voting for Obama, you stupid *******. While some of them might have moved to you out of spite, as soon as that requires them placing a pro life woman into a greater position of power than Hil. This HAS TO BE a head fake.

republican romney confirmation comming......

alaska? a state that has been as red as red can get since its inception? one whos govoner is on trial for corruption and fraud? one with what? 2 electorial votes or something close to it?

you people really are sheep. just a leaked name to throw you off the track. its so obvious.

you could make an argument for a woman vp to take advantage of the disenfranchised hillary voters. but when it comes down to it, the tiny tiny little percentage that might get him that he wont get anyway isnt worth the effort. christ would be a better choice if he was playing "pick a demographic for 4, or pick a state for 10 bob"

romney. white. young (his biggest weakness besides bush). and popular across the spectrum. far enough to the right to hold on to the base too.

christ if he thinks he might loose florida, which there is no evidence of.

alaska? please. sheep every one.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

ill be darned, he did.

im the sheep. this is good news for the dems.

Two terms on a city council, mayor of Cicily, Alaska and one year of governor. Hey, you run on that ticket. Smiley: laugh

Look, we're on the same team here. I'm excited. This is literally the best election news I've heard in a month.

For VP? Hmm, I'm sure that will be discussed. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the consensus is there....

Which is why the exact opposite is going to happen. The women that were just going to vote for a woman now have a ticket to vote for.

Oh, I'm sure that's the thinking. You guys should have found a half black half mexican homeless woman wandering the streets of St Paul. You'd have locked up all the votes, right there.

It'll be interesting to see how it breaks.

I dunno, if he wasn't worried about the state in question, and he really just wanted to give women some reason to come to the polls, wouldn't Elizabeth Dole have been a better choice? I'm sure there are others.

I just can't figure this one out at all.

Part of it has to be the notion that sex (or sexiness) sells. Political experience aside, she's nice eye candy, and sure to get more TV time for his campaign.

I'd like to think putting a bimbo on the presidential ticket with the old horny guy would leave the GOP the laughing stock of the nation. But hey, we elected GW..twice.

Never underestimate the power of the LCD.

If he was grabbing a skirt, Kay Bailey Hutchinson would have made vastly more sense.

Honestly, I have no clue what he was thinking. The only thing I can imagine is that he'll announce Romney as VP today and make everyone say "Oh, thank GOD".
