Not true. The majority of the time I am completely docile.

Edited quote for clarity.

Let me be totally frank. I think you view yourself as this outsider, this independent thinker, fighting against conformity every time people disagree with you. BD, sometimes you are just acting like an ***, sometimes I actually just disagree with you on something and it has nothing to do with other people's view and sometimes, I get tired of your narrow-minded self-righteousness and lack of willingness to engage in any reasonable dialog without making it a personal issue with others. This has been an issue the entire time I've known you on this board and it's irritating.

Well I believe your assessment of me is wrong, but I'm not going to spend any more time trying to change your mind when it's clear that can't be done.

Dear Stubs,

You truly irk me sometimes by the way you respond to people. You sometimes take a "holier than thou" attitude and your responses are very antogonistic. Even worse, I am not sure you know that you are doing it. Please try to not be a douche all the time.

Your truly,

Shadomen

P.S. Please tell Doug he has AIDS and is a total ******* ******* for referring to Belkira that way. Thx

BD, you're an argumentative twunt just like me. You fight tooth and nail for the ground you stand. Unfortunately, you need to learn to choose your battles more carefully. I argue what I believe in but the personal attacks you just have to ignore.

Let me put it this way. Some time ago, Anna took the opinion of me that I was trying to make myself a martyr. Any time I made a statement or even so much as implied that people were going to call me an *** and disagree with me no matter what I posted, she jumped on it. You're doing that very thing she accused me of here - presenting yourself as the victim with statements like:

Quote:
It's ok, Stubs. You win. I'm a *****.

Quote:
It was one post out of many where you implied many negative things about me.

Quote:
The funny thing is, no matter what I say, you'll label me as being defensive

Quote:
But even then, there might be a, "Oh look, I got under her skin, she's so mad she won't respond" post made.

Each of these statements is an attempt to discredit my opinion by painting this image of me pursuing this argument with you as if I'm out to win some sort of prize by offending or degrading you.

Anna nailed it.

I'd honestly think that Stubs was just a forum persona, but having talked to him a couple times it's pretty clear he really is this hyper-sensitive, delusional dork. It's funny.

Stubs, what exactly are you trying to do? Because, honestly, it just seems like you're trying to prove that I got worked up over something when I haven't. What opinion have you expressed that I'm trying to discredit by playing a martyr? What horribly sensitive issue were we discussing that I could possible play a martyr and discredit you about?

I'm almost crying, I'm laughing so hard. This whole thing is about you thinking I'm defensive, and you're telling me that I'm "discrediting your opinion." Smiley: laugh

That's funny, because it's the exact same opinion I have of you when people try to pass off your demeanor here as merely a persona.

More of the same.

You wanna know how you can end this discussion? Admit that I was, in fact, responding to Anna and you took it personally and responded as such. Plain and simple.

You were, in fact, responding to Anna, and trying to insult me at the same time. It was about me, so sure I took it personally. Does that mean I got all worked up about it? No. It means that I can read what you wrote to Anna on a public message board, could see that it was about me, and responded in kind.

I tend to take everyone's online persona at face value since, for the most part, there's no difference between my online "life" and my real one. Sad, isn't it?

I was not trying to insult you. Therein lies the problem. You took it the wrong way, period. I can see now that you're incapable of admitting that possibility, and it's rather amusing.

Really? You think I'm hyper-sensitive?

Man, I knew you were bad at reading people, but I had no idea the depths of your self-serving delusions.Smiley: lol

I know, I know, you just didn't want to flat out type "I know you are but what am I"?

I bleed on this forum from time to time. There are plenty of glimpses into my psyche. You, however, testify to the suffocating impotence of your insecurity with every post. It's clear as crystal.

Yeah, your inability to read isn't my problem. Try reading again though and see if can you come up with a different interpretation of what I said, because I guarantee you yours is both incorrect and laughable.

Yeah, I knew you'd go there, and I thought about editting my post. Insult wasn't the right word. You were, however, stating that I was an Allakhazam rule breaker (oh noes!). So I encouraged you to report me. Much like I would anyone who wanted to pull a rule book out of their pocket and pinpoint where they thought someone was crossing a line.

We've been over this. Everyone knows your inability to accurately communicate your silly little internal dialogue is one the funniest things about you. It must be torture to never really know what you mean, what you feel, or why you do.

Wrong again.

What I did was bring attention to the fact that we're not supposed to bash people just because they're not regulars. I did so in your thread because it relates to your OP and if I were to bring up such a random fact in a thread about, say, BT moving to Iowa, it wouldn't exactly make sense, would it? Now, maybe you feel that was implying that you were being defiant of the forum rules or that I had an inclination to report you, but that's not the case. You made an assumption about my intentions because you took my response to Anna personally.

Stop and think about it before you post another thinly veiled attempt to justify your misinterpretation and subsequent attitude.

Oh, Stubs. It's ok, I knew you meant that for me. I am also aware that you knew I would understand it was meant for me, so you tried to cleverly word it so as to make it seem that you were just, randomly and for no reason whatsoever, certainly not because I called two newbies morons, posting the forum rules as a public service to keep everyone informed on what was and was not acceptable behavior. Smiley: laugh

You're such a considerate poster, Stubs. They should totally hire you as an admin here. Smiley: nod

It's not nearly that dramatic, a fact that only reinforces my previous statement that Belkira took my post far too personally.
