It looked like she was terrified that Hillary was going to demand insurrection and a delegate count. I pictured her saying to herself, "Ooooo, that white bee-otch gonna ***** the Black Man over again. I can feel it!" She had that deer in the headlights look-- very much...

O.O

...like that.

Hillary had Barry's money though. Couldn't have asked for much more than that, I guess Barrack won't have to choke a ***** after all.

I say this independent of partisan bias, Gershon's parts read as abject desperation. Wladman's surely a little optimistic, but really, Gershon writes like a guy caught by his wife ******* the babysitter explaining to her that he lost his contact lens in her cnut.

She's about to provide the votes needed to nominate him personally, in twenty minutes or so. You should turn on a television occasionally.

And......

Hillary moves for the selection by acclimation of Obama as the nominee, ending the roll call.

Amusingly, Schumer standing over her shoulder looked like a vampire who was going to attack her neck at any second.

ZOMG Clinton just stole the nom--- wait.. what? She did what?

Well, never mind then.

I thought she looked rather chipper for someone who was doing what she was. Between that and last night, she's handled herself well.

Juan Williams is totally losing his sh*t on Fox. Brit Hume is trying to talk him back to the party line, it's funny as hell.

ETA: Hume: "You're emotional, Juan, but you're not an Obama supporter. You've been critical of him many times in the past."

Williams: "This is an amazing day for America when a man of one race can be unanimously acclaimed by the majority to his party's nomination."

Hume: "Thanks, Juan, here's Fred Barnes." (sotto voce: get the darkie out of here now!)

They call that a "San Fransisco Treat" in parliamentary procedure.

#22REDACTED, Posted: Aug 31 2008 at 1:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Well, hell. Now Hillary has to cut Obama off at the knees while looking like she is supporting him. Should be an easy trick for someone who is married to the consumate " I did not have sex with that woman" liar, Bill Clinton. If Obama wins, Hillary will never be president. It will be 8 years before the democratic nomination is up for grabs again. ie Obama wins now he is automatically candidate again in 2012. She would be out until 2016 and by then she would be an old hag.

I think the looks on Republicans' faces when Palin was announced as VP was about the same.

If Obama loses and it looks like Hillary supported him, she can run again in 4 years saying "See! You should have nominated me the first time." She will have the support of the DNC and it will be her turn. She is going to publically look like she is supporting him but behind the scenes she will kill him. Already some of her delegates are going public saying they will vote for McCain in the general election. You think she isn't smiling every time that happens? She can do the math. Obama is going to get torpedoed by her.

You're kind of forgetting that as a Senator, I'm sure Clinton wants a democratic candidate more than the outside chance she'll ever become president now.
#25REDACTED, Posted: Aug 31 2008 at 6:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Are you kidding. She doesn't give a rat's *** about the democrats. Look how she dragged the whole nomination process out after it was clear she couldn't win the nomination. You think that helped the democrats? She, just like her husband, cares only for her power, her place in history. She would do anything to become the first female president. If torpedoing Obama in 2008 means she could run again in 2012 consider it already done. Obama can't win and it's not because McCain is a good candidate. It's because Hillary will make it impossible for a united democratic vote. Without that he is dead in the water.
#26REDACTED, Posted: Aug 31 2008 at 6:15 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) What a naive thought: Hilary would put the democratic party ahead of her own interests! We have already seen her fail to do that during the nomination process by holding on long after the issue was no longer in doubt. That certainly worked in the dmocratic party's favor and didn't damage Obama's chnaces. Right? All those negative ads about his inexperience long after the contest was over. Not releasing her delegates without a role call at the convention. She will definitely put the party over her interests. Please. She will do anything that does not publically damage her image to hurt Obama.
