she is the wild card. 41 percent of the people polled that voted for her in the primary still say they would vote for mccain now that she is out of it. thats a good 20 percent of the party across the board.

personally, i dont think he can afford to have her unless he can controll her and prevent her from upstaging him. ther would have to be some serious backroom guarentees made.

so, biden first, richardson second, hillary if he caves in to the pressure from her supporters.

doesnt matter to me. i will not reward the republican party for their **** poor performance during the last 8 years no matter who wins the vp slot in either party. i would vote for carter first. we invaded a sovergn country without justification resulting in over a hundred thousand human beings being killed. we TORTURED prisoners of war then justified it under this addministraition. we walked away from treaties we signed in good faith.

i dont see how any AMERICAN could possibly justify rewarding performace like that with a vote for mccain. mabe a republican could, but not an american.

2-1 with a $20 bet that Clinton leaves the convention as a senator and nothing more.

I'm confident enough to bet more but I know Flea would string me up.

So your wager includes her not being the VP in the "as a senator" part, right?

In that case, I calculate your expected value from this wager as $19.87.

What kind of odds will you give me that hillary will be the choice?

After your $20 with Joph, I'll lay you 100 to 1 on any amount you want.

What's the wholesale price for Okra. $20 would be, what, 13 metric tons or so?

The medias is buzzing about Chet Edwards now (although as they wait I imagine they'll buzz about anything to pass the time). Was vetted by Obama's veep team and has some economic credentials although lends nothing to the foreign policy side should that be a goal. Has the "Democrat who can win red" thing going on -- he represents the Texas district which contains Bush's home in Crawford.

No way will it be the Hellbeast as Veep in Denver. Although I'm hoping she makes a run at the nomination at the last second because she still carries states that matter, as opposed to Barry Hussein, who has insignificant places like Guam and Mississippi. Can you imagine the excitement that would generate?!? A real live honest-to-goodness brawl on the convention floor, knives, saps, rolling pins, all being put to good use in a nationally televised nomination process. Lol, I'd vote Dem just to see such a thing.

Moreover, the Hellbeast hasn't actually released her delegates yet. And with the lack of funds being transfered to pay off her debt, the veritable snubbing/disrespect the Clintons have gotten at the hands of their party, I can see it is even possible that some shenanigans could be in the works. Go go Hellbeast!

Personally, I hope Barry Hussein picks Plagerizin' Joe. He'd go up on stage to accept the ticket and say, "Hey boy, go fetch me a glass of water. I'm gonna be talkin' up here for a while and a white man gets thirsty speakin' his mind. Now go on and iron my shirts or bus those tables. Don't just stand there catchin' flies with that mouth of yours hangin' open, 'les you need a whippin'."

HAHAHAHA! Clean and articulate indeed...

No chance at all.

But you gotta admit, even you would be thrilled to see something like that happen, Smash. Real edge-of-your-seat excitement, something that makes the convention worth watching, a harbinger back to smoke filled rooms, the old well oiled political machine getting a tune-up that catches everyone's attention.

Seriously, that'd be fun to watch.

For entertainment value? Sure. I'd even enjoy a staged fight for the nomination ending up with Clinton as the VP. Now that would be good TV for the suckers.

I'll take that 1-100 odds. I'll bet ya 10$ that Hillary is the vp choice. So when it's anounced you owe me 1k.

So to be clear, when the convention is over and Clinton isn't on the ticket you'll pay me $10. If she is, I'll pay you $1000.

Sure, done.

Boy howdy, for the small price of a ten spot I'd like to get in on the action of a grrr too if I'm allowed. I'll even chip in a gift card for a Starbucks coffee to sweeten the deal, Smash. And I know how you like other people paying for your coffee...

That a deal then? I imagine if you stall long enough, Obama will announce his pick and you can say "Gee shucks, we never got to bet!"

Nah, you'd actually pay me, and the endeavor would lose it's entire purpose.

Take Joph's action at 20 to 1. :)
