Taken from http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/summer08/weightlifting/news/story?id=3532460:

Quote:
BEIJING -- Hungarian weightlifter Janos Baranyai dislocated his elbow while trying to snatch 148kg in the men's 77kg Olympic competition on Wednesday, a sports official said.

"He injured his elbow, it's a dislocation. He'll be all right but it's just an ugly thing," said Sam Coffa, president of the jury at the competition and first vice president of the international weightlifting federation.

Several lifters have injured themselves over the past couple of days as the competition moves toward the higher weight classes, where athletes try to hoist up barbells weighing as much as 187kg in the clean and jerk.

Now, I woke up and saw them talking about it on MSNBC's Olympic coverage, all grimacing and complaining about the shocking nature of the video, and said they wouldn't show it -again.- This leads me to believe that there's a record of the incident somewhere - I can't seem to find the video, though. Has anyone else happened across this?

Why do you want to see this?

I mean, there are plenty of gruesome weightlifting videos out there; I hardly think you're just looking for the most recent one.

Just go to Youtube and search for painful weightlifting accident, ******.

I should add that I went through a phase when I adored the sound of bones cracking and ligaments snapping but I fully acknowledge I'm a sick fUcker.

Yeah, hey, thanks. I TOTALLY didn't think of that already.

I've already tried YouTube. It happened VERY recently, so I pulled up nothing. Knowing it would more likely show on news websites first (but being unable to find such a website myself at the moment), I decided to ask if anyone else had ACTUALLY seen a place with the clip.

I could wait for a while, but I wanted to see it while it was still fresh in my mind, before I got to doing whatever other random things during my day.

I dislocated my right elbow playing rugby. The bone did not break through the skin, but you could clearly make out the end of the bone through the skin a good 5 inches to the inside of my arm. It did not hurt that bad when it happened, but as soon as the swelling started to kick in, then it began to hurt like a mother fUcker.

Ever see that video of the female weightlifter pushing weight and peeing while she did it, then trying to wipe it away with her foot when leaving the area.

That was some sexy sh'it.

Does swearing at someone behind the safe guise of an internet forum make you feel like a big man? Does it make you feel beeeeeeeeeeetter than me? Does it make you feel like people actually care what you think? Does it make you feel like you might not just be floating along this life with no real direction, whose sole form of entertainment is trying to act like a jerk on an internet message board?

Yeah, you believe that.
