Strangely, it is now illegal to smoke tobacco in a coffee shop in Holland, but you can still smoke marijuana legally.
Doobie Pro-Logic at its finest!
It's true. I was in Amsterdam for a week-end a months ago or so, and you can't smoke a joint made of weed and tobacco in the coffee shop. You can smoke a joint of pure weed, no problem. Or you can buy a tobacco-substitute that tastes kinda funny and burns really slowly, and mix that with your weed. But it tastes like sh*t.
We were still trying to discreetly smuggle a little tobacco into our joints. It's a weird feeling.
"Dude, the waiter is coming, hide the tobacco!!" Also, I think all drugs should eventually be legalised. Relatively harmless drugs should be sold in coffee shops or smart shops, while the harder stuff (heroin, cocaine, etc...) should be given by your doctor if you have an addiction.
I know it won't happen for a while, it's impossible to sell politically, but it makes a lot of sense.
