As an afterthought. Was this comment directed at the preceding quote block or the following? I can see it used either way.

But all cheaters are liars, otherwise it'd just be an open relationship.

Is a lie a lie if it's never discovered?

Yeah, chew on that **** for awhile.

Um, yeah, it is. That's not very complex.

I know you did not just question my orientation.

It's way too early for that; I've had nothing to drink.

I understand this. Which is why I advocate telling you're goddamn spouse what you want out of the relationship. It doesn't matter what people want so long as the two involved want the same thing.

This.

I know folks with open marriages that are perfectly happy with each other. As long as they agreed to it ahead of time, fine. Its the ones that promised fidelity and eternity and stuff with only each other, then decided they didn't have to honor that promise after all and went behind their spouse's back, that I look down upon. I'm sure for many of them half the thrill comes from the fact that they are doing something taboo; if Edwards had told his wife that he was gonna cheat on her ahead of time and she was cool with it, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

It's not the act of sleeping with another person that pisses me off. Two adults can @#%^ all they want. It's the act of breaking a vow, of abusing trust, that I dislike. I guess I was taught to honor contracts, and I expect the same of others. Humanity constantly disappoints me in this regard.

Jophed,

Actually I don't read the newspaper, or watch national broadcasts from the big 3 commies. I simply have to come here to know what the liberal media is and isn't reporting.

This has been known for over a month.

So, let me get this straight.

You're complaining that the liberal media is ignoring this story, yet admit that your only source of what's going on in the liberal media is the allakhazam message boards? I think I see where you went wrong.

Oh btw, on-topic: I think Sean Hannity will find some way to make the Edwards affair Barack Obama's fault.

HuffPost, as liberal as it comes, added a special Big News section just for John Edwards.

So no, the liberal news isn't ignoring it.

Lol. Sure. After the Enquirer caught him sneaking out of a hotel room at 2 in the morning and they couldn't ignore it anymore. Do you honestly believe that this was the first time anyone heard about this? It was just the first time *you* heard about it, and that's because virtually no one covered it.

You are aware that the Enquirer has been pursuing this story for over a year, right? A few small papers picked up on it, but it got *zero* mainstream media traction. Why? What's incredibly funny about this is that during the same time period in which this story was floating out there, the New York Times ran the 8 year old "allegation of something that might be perceived as improper and might therefore been seen as the possibility of an affair by McCain" story on their front page.

So an 8 year old nothing story gets the front page, but allegations of Edwards having an affair and possibly a secret love child doesn't? When have you ever known the media *not* to print a story about even the most vague allegations of a sex scandal? Apparently, only when it's a Democrat. See. When there's a hint that a Republican might have done something wrong, it's printed and pursued to death. But when it's a Democrat, suddenly no one moves on it until there's "proof". But if no one in the media pursues the story, then no proof ever comes out. Catch-22...

I'm also upset that the NTY isn't running a "Bigfoot bore Elvis's Lovechild" story.

I was really surprised when the big guys (Fox, NBC, CNN) were talking about this Edwards things, and they all mentioned "According to the national enquirer".

I thought the national enquirer was tabloid junk and lies. But apparently they have some credibility or something? I'm confused.

Gotta love the Dems on this board who try to mitigate their party's former champion's behavior by saying, "Look! Look! Their candidate has behaved even worse!"

Lol, that has to be the last bastion of the party who knows their candidate is hopelessly weak.
