Not to answer for her, I'd never presume, but she will be driving from the northern wastes to stately 'Roo manor for the weekend. Where I will be forced to break the world speed record for assembling computer components while cooking lobster and clams.

At least this is my understanding.

I would suggest cooking the lobster on the computer, but since you're not going to be overclocking it...

I'm going to Massachusetts where I will enjoy the same totally ****** weather that New England has had for the last 2+ weeks! I'm wearing a sweater right now, I kid you not. Yay for August.

We're going to go see The Dark Knight in Imax (finally) though, so that will be fun. We were going to go to the TMBG concert in Connecticut, but we decided we don't really feel like it since it involved a 4 hourish wait in line since it's their annual free show. We did go to three of their concerts last year and it's not like there's a new album out or anything (last year we go free signed CDs! I love free stuff!).

I'm going to (prepare to laugh) stop and get several lobsters and a couple pound of steamer clams on my way out of Maine and we're going to make lobster dinner for the 'rents when I get there tonight. I think the Roo's brother may also be in attendance.

Oh, Tare and other mommys, you'll love this:

So yesterday a guy I know mentions that he had, knowing I would soon be selling my house, driven out my way the other day to see if he could spot it. Well, I gave him directions and said that if he wanted to stop by some time when I'm home, to feel free. I told him I'd be gone for the weekend and maybe they could come by next Tuesday.

So last night. It's 7:30 PM. The house is a wreck. Three loads of laundry are piled on the papasan as I am folding. Hannah has just gotten out of the bath, is naked, and sitting on her potty in the middle of the living room. I'd also just cut her hair, so the kitchen floor has hair all over it. There is a trail of towels and pajamas from the bathroom to the living room as Hannah had run through stripping before the bath and then drying off afterward. The dishes aren't done yet. There are boxes in various stages of packing on various surfaces throughout the kitchen. I'm in wet, post-baby washing pajamas and I have racoon eyes. Hannah yells, "Mommy! I'm going ****!" There's a knock at the door.

I think they liked the house ok though. We'll see I guess.

My daughter just dropped off the grandkids, so she could spend one day at Otakon, since a friend with pass has to work today. They look alike, so photo ID's they are using now shouldn't be a problem.

Jonwin has to go to work this afternoon, so I plan to take the kids to local thrift store and let them each find something they like. I need to pick up refills on 2 of my meds next door at the Pharmacy.

We'll also get out the art supplies and Lego's and have fun. Wish I had old tea set that my mom saved for our kids to play with. As first Grandma in family and fact that some of the plates and cups came from my set and oldest daughter's Rainbow Bright set.

I'm actually going to have to make dinner for them, since there father won't be off work until 6:30 and by time he gets here, it will be past dinner time.

Tomorrow, I may try to go downtown and watch the natives stare at the cos-players. If I had some extra cash I would get a one day pass just to visit friends at the Artist Alley.

Sunday I don't have any plans, but to relax and get enough sleep for next week.

Grandkids just reminded me that we are going to Birthday Party for other daughter and a friend and talk about what outfits we will wear. Grandson is going to wear the Pirate outfit, and granddaughter will be in her fairy pj's. Not sure if I will wear my bodice or not.

Date tonight, Melvins

I almost went deaf at a Melvins concert a decade ago.

Not much going on with the DSD fam this weekend. We're storing it all up for next weekend when we drive up to NY for a wedding for a high school friend of Sick and mine, and then check out Crystal Caverns and Dutch Wonderland on the way home for the kiddies.

Tonight I'll be joining an alt raid with the guildies, and kill everyone as I dust off my druid I havent really played in years. Should be fun. Tomorrow Xavier and I got to our second class of Tae Kwon Do in the morning, then we'll probably head over to the neighborhood pool. We'll try and drag the Mr along and he will whine about it. More raiding during the evening and nothing yet planned for sunday but chilling.

Working. I'm on travel, so it's my most productive time of year. I'm in North Carolina, of all places. I like it here. The natives are friendly.

Charlotte. I don't have a car. I basically do this each summer: for about a week (ten days this year since Gwen is such a well behaved baby) I go work my *** of 24/7 at some other University. Talking to other people who work in the same areas I do is refreshing and keeps me from being too set in my ways.

As a result, I've been all over the US and seen...well...the wonderful Universities.

Okay: the first year I took my baby to a Ren Faire I carried her around strapped to my chest (baby Bjorn like thing) and I got more attention from the girls then any mortal man deserves.

Yeah, we had the Snugli which I wore him in for about an hour, but also used the stroller and just carried him in our arms. I didn't get too much attention from the ladies, because I was already with three (my wife and two sisters).
