I haven't seen this. The couple times I've expressed opinions opposite of yours, you've written that opinion off as being simply a thoughtless liberal mantra.

what does living in the 'heartland' have to do with you being intolerant of ****-sexuals?

Not when it discriminates and demonises another group of people, no.

Are you a moral Christian? I'd like a cite on where it says to hate people of a different skin colour.

Jesus didn't involve himself in politics.

I think it's pretty clear that christians are called to live thier life to provide a witnesses to God, and not to make judgement calls on a non christian's behavior. Within the church there is a place for accountability, however to try and control a non christian's lifestyle from a christian perspective is absurd, and not biblical. knox's post has dropped below sub-d so I don't have much context here.

Has Christianity even been about Jesus since Nicea and (later) The City of God?

And it's not discriminating to say a behaviour is immoral.

Of fucking course it is discriminating you twit. Do you even know what the word means? You are making note of a characteristic of a set and making note of that as different than other sets, and then making some inference that set A is somehow better or worse than set B. For example: "eating babies is immoral; we should make note of this discrimination and act accordingly." What you mean to say is that the discrimination is justified.

So being Anglican and Canadian, it's Ok for me to support the gheys, right? It's not immoral as my Christian religion, accepts them into our community and even weds them.

Do you? It's not like we can ask the *******. Jesus has only a few things to say about church and state relations (in canonical materials). They are there, such as Jesus blessing the centurion and such, but for most church-state relations, we have to look to the saints.

For non canonical materials, (among other things) Pagels has actually presented the gospel of judas as a political commentary on martyrdom in early christian history, and how it shaped the political landscape of the time. Fascinating, really.

Like anything written in the bible, it's almost all up for interpretation, however, one point made there, is that religion and politics are separate issues. Varus was trying to dispute Joph's comment about Jesus not involving himself in politics.

Statements like this would carry a little more weight if so much hadn't been suppressed early on.

At any rate, the "render unto Caesar" quote was about paying taxes, not about running other peoples' lives.

And your faith of Christianity is better because...? Unless you're Roman Catholic, you're nothing more than another protestant break away from the "first" Church. And if you are, is Joph a bad Christian?

Varrus, how about you go fuck yourself with a cross-shaped *****? Then you can have Jesus up your *** 24/7, and you can stop breaking our balls with your holier-than-thou *********************** I've seen 6 year-old aborigines that had a better understanding of the scriptures than you, and I have no doubt that if there is a God, my highlighter pen is closer to it then you are.
