Stuff having to do with family and having to do with acts of kindness or selflessness seem to choke me up.

Last time I shed tears was while watching American Gangster when he bought that house for his mother.

I don't cry at appropriate things. For example, when I *should* cry, I usually don't...or only for a minute or something and then get irritated with myself. Then I'll watch some movie/tv show/long distance commercial and cry inconsolably for 45 minutes, haha.

The movie Rudy reduces me to a bawling baby.

I could care less when some person dies but the minute one of our dogs pass away or has to be put to sleep will be a very sad day.

And I will not see the movie "I am Legend" for the same reason someone posted above.

I don't care what anyone says, losing a pet is heartbreaking. No, not on the scale of losing a person, but it's still a loss.

And Nexa, I HATE those long distance commercials. I hate the feeling of being manipulated, especially when it works so damn well.

Back on topic: I was watching a movie with my dad once, forget what it was but stipulate that it was indeed sad. He cleared his throat about a hundred times trying not to cry, haha. I finally looked at him and said something tactful like, "Oh, just let it go already!". He had to go to the kitchen for about five minutes, poor guy. He was not going to cry in front of me over a stupid movie.

I love it how my wife will tear up over some made-for-TV movie and then pretend she's getting an eyelash out of her eye. I'll look over at her and she'll bust out laughing because I caught her trying to get all sneaky weepy on me. About that time she'll grab a poodle and order one of them to attack me.

Makes me smile just thinking about it.

One more movie that I pretty much cried the whole way through.

AI

That stupid movie was such a tear jerker. It was ridiculous. The ending where he ran out of batteries while waiting for the statue (that was supposed to be God or something) in the underwater park to do something. He had his little Teddy Ruxpin bear with him. Then in the future when the aliens found him and gave him the option of allowing him to "remember" his Mom but only for an hour before she disappeared again. I mean Jebus frigging Christ!

I am tearing up now just thinking about that silly movie.

Now that I think about it, it probably triggers some very pent up emotions from a screwed up childhood. I need to see a shrink.

Haha, and that's one movie that I absolutely DESPISE. I'm one of those women that cry at everything (I cried in 2010 when Hal asked if he would dream after being shut down), but AI only made me mad.

I start crying as soon as he starts singing Daisy.

My grandmother's funeral. Gave a eulogy, carried her casket, and helped put her in the ground.

Just thinking about her tears me up.

I cried like a blubering idiot when my dad called me to tell me our old dog died.

But the one CONSTANT thing that can always make me cry is the film "Operation Dumbo Drop"

When Ray Liotta and Danny Glover get the elephant out the plane and release it's parachutes. It's floating down and the VC troops have the elephant in their sights with a big anti-aircraft gun and this dialog ensues:

Soldier: "I have the elephant in my sights, should I fire?"

2nd in command guy: "NO...I didn't join the army to shoot elephants. Especially ones that can fly."

And I F*CKING loose it EVERYTIME. I start welling up the whole scene and then when the word "fly" comes out I freaking loose all control and start bawling.

I tear up at Jonwin's post, knowing some of the things that he feels is too personal to post openly about.

Then I also cry thinking about how much I love him.

We two should just buy Kleenex in bulk.
