If that's even his name. Man, I know I'm no good for myself, but if he were a little better looking and I were single...he's like Thomas Crown or something!

Oh, good heavens. Smiley: laugh

You'll be writing love letters to Richard Ramirez next.

Oh come on now, he's hardly that bad! He's just crazy and mysterious and a little shady...but likes kids. You know I dig that in a guy.

Nexa, what would you do if Hannah's dad took her to the Caribbean without your knowledge or consent? Just curious, mind you.

haha, kill him?

Honestly though, if you mean what would I do if he kidnapped her like this guy? I guess everything I could to get her home safely. I'd also go there and look for her myself.

So you wouldn't find it particularly enticing.

Just trying to figure out the psychology here. Smiley: smile

Haha, who I fantasize about and who I date are dramatically different, darlin'. I generally develop celebrity crushes on men who are 20 years older than anyone I'd date too...

I dunno, I'm having the same reaction as when one of my friends commented that Ted Bundy was really handsome. I said, "That's Ted Bundy. He was a serial killer." And she was all, "Yeah? Good lookin' guy, though."

I guess.

I think there's a possible sympathetic POV to a guy custodial kidnapping his daughter though, moreso than a guy raping and slaughtering women for sport.

haha, I can separate the various issues for purposes of analyzing separate facets without feeling bad or guilty about one or the other...that doesn't mean that I wouldn't look at the sum of the parts if considering actually getting involved with someone.

If anything, I think it makes me question what I would be like if I had that kind of money/connections/the ability to pull that kind of thing off and the ex *had* won custody and not allowed me to see my child for months on end. I'd like to think I'd wait it out and see the "agreement" through, but hell, who knows.

Well, aside from the "but he likes kids!" comment, what I mostly read was "mesmerized", "good looking" and "Thomas Crown".

You're right, though, of course. No one's really looking for more than **** material here. Most felons are just off my **** list, I guess.

Actually, I said he wasn't good looking, but from the article, this is the part that intrigues me:
Quote:

Rockefeller reportededly speaks with an accent that has been described by various individuals as Boston Brahmin, European and Scottish sounding. He also reportedly speaks some Russian. His interests are in sailing, physics and art. He frequents libraries
.

and also that:

Quote:
As detectives search for the missing father and daughter, they are also trying to turn up anything about the mysterious man's past.

Police said Rockefeller has several aliases and officials haven't been able to find a Social Security number for the man, a driver's license or any real work or education history for him.

I just find the whole thing to be incredible...it's so bad-mystery-movie plot line. I think his kidnapping of his kid is horrible, but so was the mother's keeping her away from him (at least from what I've read...it doesn't say anything anywhere about him being abusive or anything)...not that I'm suggesting he was "justified"...before anyone says that I did.

The best part of The Firm (granted, there wasn't a whole lot to like) was the description of the escape and disappearance setup.

Don't mind me, I have no idea what I'm babbling. I'm just desperate to get out of here and sleep for about 20 hours.

I'm a huge fan of heist movies, so any well thought out/planned/well executed scenario like this is fascinating to me.

Hope you get lots of sleep sweets!

Forum=4 = my personal message board for a sec:

There's a movie we should watch about a group of people in Toronto who plan bank robberies for fun, then naturally, get boxed into having to do one for reals!

The Italian Job. Smiley: nod

There's a scene in the beginning where Marky Mark is walking with Donald Sutherland in St. Mark's Square in Venice. Behind them are a bunch of yellow tables and chairs.

My husband and I sat there before the movie was released but after it was filmed and shared a $10 coke.
