i understand the move to more danger, more thrill, more "cost" in achieving and ends. we have seen it in the harry potter series, spiderman, the hulk, and in the "batman returns" mivie compared to the first set of bat man movies.
it adds a better sence of danger and excietment to the movies making them appeal to an older market than the kids and teens they were first designed for. but for me, this one crossed the line. the ending wasnt only anti climatic, it was out right depressing. mabe its just me, but walking out of iron man i was excieted about the movie. walking out of dark knight i felt more like i just finnished a horror movie where even the heros lost than walking out of a super hero movie.
wouldnt see it again. i can watch the news if i want depressing. paying for depressing is just, well, like medding 3 or 4 minutes after each kill, or camping a rare spawn for days on end. what happened to EQ vs WoW applies to movies too.
