I hate old people that won't admit their mind isn't as sharp as it used to be. It's the same as the ones that won't wear hearing aids because they are in denial that they are going deaf, won't wear glasses because they are in denial that they are going blind, and who won't stop driving even though their senses of balance, direction, and awareness have all started to decline.

So what do I have against old people? Their inability to admit that they're getting old and to accept the consequences of that fact.

McCain is too old to be president. A Senate seat can devolve into an honorary position without much repercussions for the country as a whole (re: Strom Thurmond) but the president of the US should never have that happen, let alone when the country is so ****** from the last president.

Gallup Daily: Obama by 6, Is There a Europe Effect?
Obama moves back to significant lead over McCain

PRINCETON, NJ -- Barack Obama has expanded his lead over John McCain in the Tuesday through Thursday Gallup Poll Daily tracking rolling average, and now has a 47% to 41% advantage over his Republican challenger.

While McCain may think he can make Americans forget about his mistakes if he jokes about them, only suckers take him seriously as being the better candidate.

An interesting bit of commentary by three well-known political polling analysts and prognosticaters.
Rasmussen wrote:
"Too close to call." "Within the margin of error." "A statistical dead heat." If you've been following news coverage of the 2008 presidential election, you're probably familiar with these phrases. Media commentary on the presidential horserace, reflecting the results of a series of new national polls, has strained to make a case for a hotly contested election that is essentially up for grabs.
[...]
While no election outcome is guaranteed and McCain's prospects could improve over the next three and a half months, virtually all of the evidence that we have reviewed--historical patterns, structural features of this election cycle, and national and state polls conducted over the last several months--point to a comfortable Obama/Democratic party victory in November. Trumpeting this race as a toss-up, almost certain to produce another nail-biter finish, distorts the evidence and does a disservice to readers and viewers who rely upon such punditry. Again, maybe conditions will change in McCain's favor, and if they do, they should also be accurately described by the media. But current data do not justify calling this election a toss-up.

In the history of the USA has there ever been a less qualified candidate than obama? What's he got like 2 weeks in congress and he's ready to run the country.

Despite your love fest Obama will get no crossovers and he's not appealing to independents either. Obama has the most liberal voting record in congress and that's going to cost him.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

ahh, the blind ignorance of the radical right.

1. the ONLY presidential candidates who have experience are incumbant presidents running for re-election. we have had first term govoner presidents, and presidents who have also come from the senate just as obama has.

but im sure you and the rest of you will create a check list for president that highlights experience by your man and downplays anything the other side has reguardless of who it is. so, no, no one on the left will qualify for your list reguardless of past experience.

2. people, including many on the right are sick and tired of the status quo. and if the status quo is "qualified", then mabe "qualified" is a negative, not a positive. this argument didnt work for hillary, its not going to work for mccain. hillary stood a much better chance with it too because even the republicans are sick of the republicans right now. people on both sides of the fence dont want "qualified status quo" and thats all mccain has to offer.

3. obama is a liberal. so, uhh, yea, he has a liberal voting record. thats why he won the DEMOCRATIC nomination and not the REPUBLICAN nomination. "liberal" is differant that the pack of fools who screwed up this country so badly. "liberal" is not as bad of a word as "conservative" is this year. its the "conservative" brand so many people in this country and the majority of the rest of the world are sick of.

4. obama has had more republicans stand behind him than mccain has had dems stand behind his campaign. so no matter whay type of measuring stick you are using to claim he isnt getting cross over support, he is still doing much better than maccain is. if he is lacking, mccain is lacking even more.

president obama. he can take us where we need to go. mccain cant. neither could hillary.

i love how desperate the mccain party is getting. bashing obama for his efforts over seas when that is exactly what he should be doing. they would bash the way he ties his shoes if they could. you may not think the crap they gave him means anything on the serface, but if you look a little closer, you will see the message.

they dont have anything else. they are desperate. obamas education blows mccain out of the water. people are sick of iraq and thats mccains ONLY trump card. the repubs have NOTHING on obama. NOTHING. if they did they wouldnt be bashing obama for going over seas..........just like mccain did.

the only way obama could loose is if he really screws up, something im sure hillary was hoping for to save her campaign, or voters are not ready to move past the color of his skinn yet. the economy is in the toilet, the war the repubs started without cause is still raging and people are sick of it, gas prices are driving air lines and american car companies into bankrupcy even as this addministraition is STILL giving oil companies a 14 billion dollar tax cut ever year, and banks are folding almost every week.

the republican name brand is in the toilet. its a gimme for the dems unless obama really screws up or people are not ready to look past the color of his skinn yet.

crone on ye desperate vermin. your days are almost at an end. the whole world will celebrate with the dems too, including all but one of our allies. but the jews are never happy.

Yes but typically we elect a president who has run something before. Whether it be a state or a business. Obama has done neither.
Neither has McCain. While I'm sure some form of executive experience is lovely and we can dredge for examples, neither candidate really has it in spades.

All you people that got rebate checks from W better prepare to not only not receive them if Obama is elected but prepare to give more of what you've earned back to the govn.

Everyone who received a rebate check will pay lower taxes. People making 400,000 didn't get stimulus checks. Also, while his family has certainly stolen enough money while he was in office to do so, no one "got checks" from the President.

So when the upper class taxes are increased you don't think that's going to have some repercussions for the other classes?

Historically speaking, or just using guesswork? If you're going with the former, than no.
