I only started this thread because I'm going to Spain for the week-end.

Sunshine, beaches, and sangria.

What about you guys? Doing anything cool? Like going to Mass to see the Dark Knight, or something?

Having Dinner & Casino tomorrow (yay!), rest of the weekend will be making more preparations for my wedding end of August.

Weather forecast for Spain is great (at least for the south), 34-36°C and sunshine. Have a nice trip!

Not a lot going on for us this weekend. My oldest son has been with me this week and it'll be time to hand him back off to his father. Then it's just the usual clean, play some kind of MMO, watch the tube and generally veg out for the weekend. Wine will be involved.

Noah is six and Caymen is 17. Yes, 17.

Ugh.

He's thinking about going into the military. I'm all for it. He's a typical teenager, and he could use some discipline. The kind that his father and I can give him, he can easily dodge by running to his room and slamming the door. They generally don't allow that in the Army.

I'd love to see him try it though, just once, hahahaha.

Simulate the Army for him for two weeks where has to unquestioningly do every idiotic thing you ask of him.

I got a migraine yesterday 20 minutes before the end of work. Then traffic sucked so i didn't get the migraine medicine until later than i should have at home. Eventually, I threw up in a basket of clean laundary. But then my new Main Gauche that mostly matches my Rapier showed up. So that was good.

I'm feeling better this morning, but I still feel like i ran myself over with my car while i was still driveing it.

No specific plans except a birthday dinner (not mine) on Sunday.

We're home once again this weekend, but our new little town has its civic festivities Saturday and Sunday. I'm looking forward to cheering on my yellow rubby ducky as it floats down the river to the finish line. Fireworks and some folk music at the local pub will round out the excitement.

If it's hot and sunny we may hit the beach.

Flying out Sunday for two weeks in Colorado Springs. I'll be attending my ten year reunion, my closest childhood friend's thirtieth birthday party, an uncle's birthday and when I'm not busy with that stuff I'll be haunting my old bars. Going to see the Batman movie at some point, too. There will be strip club time. I might go to the zoo with my lesbian pal, because lesbians love animals and it's a pretty cool zoo. I'd love to get up to Guffey Gorge, where I used to go cliff-diving, but I doubt I'll be able to make a day for it. Hopefully I don't spend any time in jail this vacation. Even if I do, it has to be better than that California jail.

Yep.

They've put in ski-lifts, apparently, so you can just ride to the top and walk back down. Pretty sure they still don't have cocktails, though.

Friday Smiley: boozing

Saturday: Work, then cleaning the Nobbymobile, then re-building a PC for a friend. Afterwards she's coming round for dinner (to test Kaolian's theory Smiley: wink).

Sunday: Taking a (different) friend for a drive (probably to Wales) and pub lunch.

No, I make him do every idiotic thing my six year old asks for when he comes to visit.

I sit on my *** and drink wine. Win-win.

this is why he only visits me twice a year

Jonwin and I were ask to watch the grandchildren, while my daughter and son-in-law go to Little Italy for dinner. So we sill spend the morning cleaning up the living room so they have space to play.

Jonwin is also on top of the list for work, if anyone calls in sick. He just was discharge from his doctor care and will finally be getting the hours he used to have working 7 days a week. Our budget is been rather tight recently.

The rest of my weekend will be spent checking a few blogs, email and studying books I'm reading.

I also will be meditating at least once a day on top of the practice to help as I go off one of the anti-depressants completely. I saw doctor yesterday and we work out how to get me off Prozac in one week and then look at going slower on the Effexor. I still expect to take a maintenance dose for long time, but it would be nice to cut 2 pills out of my morning routine. I see my other doctor a week from Monday to go over the rest of my medications and ask for referrals to have my problems with skin being dryer then in the past and peeling around my finger and toe nails look into. That and fact the bruises on my legs are larger then normal and I can only explain the ones where I kick my calves while walking.

That or I can use them to claim I'm being beaten Smiley: blush

#25REDACTED, Posted: Jul 25 2008 at 4:27 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Thats alot of fossil fuels in the atmosphere flying to spain and back. Couldn't you have just biked to your local camp ground? How can you complain about global warming when you are adding so much to it? Isn't this really the problem? On one hand people are screaming and whining about global warming and on the other they are off flying across the world for a vacation. Prime example why no one goes in for this global warming crap.
