The cat has been sitting outside mewling for me to let him in and feed him. He's been sitting under the lounge windows where I have a luscious border of lavender in full bloom.

He's clearly been wandering in and out of the lavender (probably terrorising the bumble bees that have been humming around the blossom all day).

Right now he's sitting in my lap purring away, and smelling of fragrant lavender.

While I acknowledge that this may mean I'm an ghey, there's something extremely relaxing about stroking a lavender-scented cat on a sunny summer's evening while sipping chilled champagne and listening to Mozart.

You can now all fUck off. Smiley: smile

I love cats, cats love me, it a love/love relationship no matter what cat.

Unfortunately my immune system dispises my furry friends and promtly begins to shut down as soon as I begin a new friendship.

I am ok for the first 15 or so minutes until my eyes and throat start to swell. I've not pushed it beyond that, since i don't want my new feline friends to have to explain way the corpse to the police.

The good news is that if you're around one cat, you get desensitized to its dander.

Eventually.

And how is the evil plot to take over the world through a series of over-elaborate schemes involving a small army and nuclear laser coming along?

This is true. A high school friend of mine--who used to get red-eyed and sniffly after 10 minutes at my apartment--now owns 3 cats of her own with nary a problem.

I was sitting at my computer this evening, raiding in EQ2 alongside the husband, bopping along to some music when I realized I had this big grin on my face. And it dawned on me, I am happy with life. Really really happy. I love where we live, I love our town house. I love our fantastic neighbors and love hanging out with them in the afternoon sipping coffee and chatting while our kids play together after school. I love the education my son is getting and how happy he is. I love the friends I have made down here. I love the town, the community, the sense of belonging. I love the fact that there is so much to do within a 15 minute radius. I love the weather.
We're not rich, but we're getting close to where we have very little debt, and the ability to go on really great vacations whenever we want is about a year away. I love the fact we're doing so well after struggling for so long back in Mass. Husband loves his new job, it's taking off in leaps and bounds, and he works from home. He smiles all the time now. I love being able to have dinner with the entire family every night at 5:30 and then all of us hanging out together until its the kids bedtime.

It's not just one thing, but all these little things combined. It's pretty damn cool. Smiley: cool

Cats are creepy, but lavender is nice.

Nobby, you really need to find a woman to roll around in the lavender in then sit on your lap to be petted.

Sunday morning I had to tell a cat she couldn't come home with me and it was her job to stay at the camp and protect it. She lay on my lap for a couple hours content with my petting her slowly.

If I wasn't already claimed by our Cat Godiva, I would think about going back and asking the owner of the camp ground for her. But Godiva and Tony are indoor cats and Cooncat wouldn't stand being coop up all the time.

Tarv, have you thought of getting a hairless cat. I have friends who are allergic to the cat dander, but got two that have the run off their 2 room apartment. Sadly I can't find the picture they had posted of them anymore.

I was charging along up the hill on my way home the other day and kinda wondered why everyone I met was smiling and in such a good mood until I realized I had a megawatt grin on my face, haha.

So what you're saying is the US is better off now.

Less privacy, weaker dollar, less jobs, less people who own homes, massive debt, quadrupled gas prices, inflation, 5000 dead in Iraq, 50,000 maimed for life, Bin Laden laughing at us, what's not to like?
