I'm in a Tornado Watch Zone today until 7pm. In Maine.

It's like the apocalypse up there-- like for Maine which isn't like the yearly hell for Florida. There was a lightning burst in the Windham area and burned a bunch of trees last weekend. And btw, there are occasional tornados up there. :( It's just usually localized. Don't go to Oz, Nexa.

Coincidentally, we're under a "plague of lobsters" watch until 9pm.

I hope you've boarded the windows and put out your baskets.

In 06' I was hit by a Microburst up there, so I'm still a little leery of Maine's weather.

So in other words, you're getting a pretty cool lightning show up there?

We have tornado watches here quite often. I got used to it very quickly, and felt more at ease after finding out the last tornado in our county was 20 years ago.
A watch isn't mushc to worry about. It's when the watch turns to a warning you should keep your ears perked.

Lucky.

I love storms. We've had a few over the last couple of days, but they don't last long.

I was in the tornado that made a wreck out of Nashville. It didn't tear up too much of my house. I stood at my window and watched it coming until it was in my neighbor's backyard (the neighbor across the street). And I got a good laugh out of all the people at the liquor store once all the fun was over. =D

Florida should just change their state motto to "The Wrath of God State".

I like storms too, but when you have like 4-5 trees fall on your car, you take the hint.

If you were a Mainer, you'd say, "They don't have any weather in San Diego."

Oh, I know we don't have any weather. We have a climate. Our seasons are cool, cooler, warm, warmer.

There was a Tornado in NH today, hence the warnings.

The greater tri-state area has been getting waves of thunderstorms every half-hour for the past day and a half. I find them quite impressive; my wife, terrifying.

While the thunder storms we been getting aren't unusal for Maryland, I could do with the lighting that had me jumping several inches out of my chair yesterday. (ok day before by the clock, but I am still trying to catch up wth posts from the 24th.)

We aren't sure now far it was from the house, since I heard the crack of thunder at the same time I felt my head get slapped hard. I don't remember much of a flash but then it's the closest I ever been to getting shuck by lighting, though I normally move as far away from windows as possible. My chair here is about 6 feet from nearest window and since I wasn't worry at the moment since the storm from both local radar and my spider sense was moving rapidly to the north.

After we shut down the computers, I had to lie down for the rest of the day. It felt a lot like the times I accidentally got zapped by household current. Took hours for my right side to lose feeling of numbness in arm and foot. While on my left side several muscles in my leg and arms knotted up and refused to relax. Found today that though I had started to turn off computer I forgot to press the confirm button, so feel bless that it wasn't fried.

I used to spend hours watching lighting, as storms moved through the area, but now since I realized the odd feelings I been getting, as storms come near, has to do with the amount of static building up before hand. Seems Fibromyaglia can effect far more then just pain and nerves.
