So countries that are friendly to America then? Will these be available to Iran, China, South korea or other countries that are hostile to America?

Sure, for now in 15 years? Who knows. Even then, there's next to nothing that stops said countries from hawking them to whomever. However I love how you keep changing your argument.

First it is "We don't sell weapons" then facing the overwhelming evidence against your ****** argument it becomes "Well, only to our friends". Is that the GOP status quo? Make outrageous assertions then after getting a huge d*ckslapping with evidence you change your argument?

Wait, why am I asking questions to which I know the answer?

What on gods green earth would China need to buy Airplanes of America for?

Their ships are already getting to an equal level as our and i'm sure if they ever decided to get into a rukus with the west their tech level would improve to the point it surpasses our before they tried anything.

Iran is a tin pot 3rd world state who's only threat is short range missles that would effect 1 NATO country + Isreal, they are as much a threat to the USA as Timbucktwo, even if they did purchase F15 or F35's they would be squashed like a small ant is the first 6 hours of a modern conflict.

Just asmit the fact you know nothing about your subject and SFTU.

Given the horrid regularity throughout history for former "friendly" or "allied" nations/political movements/factions to be the enemies in the next war, I think it's pretty much insanity, or at least gross negligence led by financial greed at the expense of national safety, to sell any weapons manufactured by anyone in your own country to anyone outside your own country.

The fact that's it's been going on for a millennia doesn't make it a good idea.

Talking about the joint strike fighter, last thing I heard about it (admittably a few months ago), the USA is refusing to sell it to Australia. From America's point of view, that's a good thing. From an Australian point of view, I of course think it sucks, since all of the above doesn't count when it's MY country missing out on the most up to date technology.

There's some unhappy Australians wondering why our government bounded straight away into what many reguard as an unlawful invasion of Iraq, unquestioningly and unchallengingly by the side of our greatest allies, the USA, our government sticking up for the USA's decision in the international arena, when we are not taken into the fullest confidence by the USA in return.

It's the @#%^ing dingos.

Actually the only thing I could think of that was logical was that the USA wouldn't sell us the joint strike fighter because my idiot conservative government approved selling uranium to .... was it Pakistan? Or India?

Or both?

Anyway, to some country on teh Sub-continent that wasn't part of the UN nuclear weapons treaty thingy.

These things are done more from base instinct rather than greed... which I suppose one could call human nature a form of insanity.
I think these things occur by default. Default being instinctual..

It was set aside by Congress and President Carter in 1980 for future oil development. Development would be limited to 2000 acres of the Coastal Plain or 0.01% of the entire 19.6 million-acre refuge. These lands were set aside for America to produce its own energy resources. What are we waiting for?"

I've heard of countries fragmenting and dissolving into multiple regions. So, naturally nations shouldn't sell them to any country.

Tell me how are those solar powered cars coming? How about the effects of bio-fuel on the cost food?

Democrats won't let us drill domestically and they won't let us advance nuclear technology. What the Democrats do want is absolute control over every single americans energy consumption. Anything that can bring a little more freedom to the american people the Democrats have to shut down.

I'm still waiting for a Democrat plan that doesn't involve taxing the oil companies or threatening speculators.

Seriously?

Exhibits A, B and C

And where are these 'Democrats' not letting us advance nuclear technology?

I'm pretty much baffled. Enlighten me if you would.

Hi, I'm a Democrat and I have an energy plan.

I would shut down Iraq, close certain military bases throughout the world, and I would gather the most intelligent energy scientists in the world. I would tell them the first to come up with a energy source that is renewable, cheap, reliable, can be used in existing technology and infrastructure, and environmentally friendly would get a 100 Billion dollar grant from the US government.

This **** would be over in 5 years max.
