I flew into a sudden and completely unexpected rage the other day when a commercial came on the radio that featured a particularly vapid woman asking a man's advice about how to find the best high-def TV.

My friend was highly amused and a little scared, I think.

Insipid bint: "But which are the really GOOD deals?"

Exactly. Thank god I have a man around who can look into these things for me, what with me being unable to do any sort of research and disinclined to looking into the best value. What am I doing here posting when I could be out shopping for shoes anyway?

Nexa

P.S. I love you.

Hahaha.

They have the shoe department next to the solar panel department.

Neat! But the real question is, do they double as a calculator?

They're toeless, so I guess so...at least in calculations up to ten.

They will help with those difficult addition problems.

If you are daring you can do 2x5 on them too.

Yeah, it's best not to overexert yourself.

You have to keep your strength up for making all those delicious sammiches.

Dammit now I'm hungry...afk, making a sammich.

This isn't reinforcing my point very well :(

Yeah, I think I'm slightly overly sensitive to women acting like morons. I do facetiously from time to time, but not generally. Nevertheless, people have certain expectations of someone who looks like me and I get tired of women letting those stereotypes continue since I have to deal with the consequences.

Case in point, one of the guys I work with (in the IT department), just threatened "I'm going to take you over my knee and spank you" because I made a (completely appropriate) snarky comment regarding his seeming inability to pick up after himself in our kitchen. I don't imagine his reaction would have been the same to one of our other coworkers. In fact, I can't imagine another person in our building that he would have said that to. I stared at him with one eyebrow raised until he turned bright red, made a half-assed apology, and left the room. At any rate, it's the women who let that kind of thing slide, or laugh along with such jokes, that allow that kind of behavior to continue. He's a nice enough guy, and I would be surprised if he made any such comment to me again, but it would easily have gone on had I just laughed along with him.

No, and it's laughable to imagine him doing so.

I've developed a death stare that apparently has a physical pushback effect.

Wouldn't a coffee cup to the face accomplish much the same thing?

I'd hate to waste a cup of coffee.

I find that usually does the trick. The ones that you have to actually verbally reproach are the ones that get off on it anyway.

I stared at him

That sounds like fun. Now I want to stare at him. I'm nearsighted, though, so I'd have to hold him close by the throat so I could properly read his reaction.

When I was young, and had too much testosterone, I used to stare angrily at random people to see how they'd react.

Well my goodness. I'm so glad your chemistry has corrected and you're so even keel now. I'd hate to think how you might behave were you to reach a state of boredom and were at all off balance these days.
