On a mini-vacation. Off through Tuesday. No babies yet, blissfully happy in my marriage, looking forward to getting my kid back.

I went back to correct that, but **** it.

My kid and her boyfriend left this morning after a weeks visit.

The last time they were both here, we didn't let them share a room. She was still living in the dorm, not with him. Since then they'd moved in together. This time we let them share her old room. She's nearly 23. It was easier not having her on the couch, but it was weird.

tired, but functioning. Life is good, husband is fantastic, kids are doing great. Nothing major to report. I've just been kicking back, and enjoying watching the man's career explode, and the kids learning new stuff daily.

A few days ago my sweet, cute, adorable baby boy kicked me in the eyeball. I've had a headache ever since.

I also blew another tire on the Garden State Parkway today. Ever see what happens when a tire shreds at 80mph? Ever *feel* it? Luckily I was near South Orange and got to some chop shop to put a somewhat used tire on for thirty bucks. I have to have a word with my brother about scavenging tire/wheels from the $5 pick & pull auto salvage yards.

Wondering why my body seems determined to break down less than two weeks before we go on vacation. About four weeks ago, I sustained a partial tear of my Achilles tendon doing the grueling task of...getting out of a chair. That doesn't seem to be making much progress mending despite all my efforts to stay off the foot as much as possible. And today, while picking up the kid, something in my back just WENT and now I can barely move.

Flying back by myself with the boy while in this shape should be really interesting (Mr. Ambrya leaves for home a week earlier so he can get back to work while we can visit with family longer.)

I've had dog show people in my house for the past week.

I screwed my back up last Saturday, and was kind of totally out of commission Sunday and Monday. I think I've gone through five cases of beer this week, and I haven't been properly drunk once.

A lady brought her contractor by to tour the property the other day, and she was talking about raising the ceilings to install fans, so I think she's pretty seriously considering buying the place.

Probably going to the bar in town tonight. It's a big deal. I'm gonna put on people clothes.

Need to do some laundry next week because I'll be flying out to Colorado Springs for two weeks come next weekend. I have my ten year reunion and my childhood best friend's thirtieth birthday to attend, and probably a trip to the strip club and a couple other nights in bars and a family barbecue and a trip to Denver. I'm looking forward to the week after next.

Okay, gonna go feed dogs now. Good talk.

By my clock, Tare should just be arriving home in wonderful CAnAdA. She's been traveling all day today with kiddos. I am sure she is quite happy and cheerful! Smiley: grin

Just finished my two short summer classes so now I only have two classes through the end of July. Vacation (keeping my head low, not going anywhere) August 2-10. School starts back up late August with a 16 credit load. Other than that, been playing my GBA emulator on my PSP and looking forward to The Dark Knight on IMAX Tuesday.

Also going out for coffee with a cute little thing from my Women in History class. Hopefully results in at least a friendship as I've had rather slim pickings on the social front since I came back from my last vacation.

Not a lot going on here. Husband applied for a much better job and we really thought he had a shot at it. But even though they said they'd let him know one way or the other about his status, we've not heard a thing. So, that means he didn't get it. /sigh

Other than that, it's the same ole, same ole. My parents are driving up today and my house is a wreck. Need more coffee so I can start cleaning.

Same old sh*t different f*cking day.

Though I did recently transfer from California to Washington State so I'm pretty happy about that. Oh and I get to work on a new (to me) plane, the EA-6B Prowler. The Prowler in reality was based off the A-6 Intruder that said, the EA-6B is the oldest jet-powered engine (not counting props or helo's) in the Navy if not the military entirely.

Still divorced! Smiley: grin

Taking part in a college buddy's wedding this evening so it looks to be a fun time.

Made reservations for a bachelor party weekend in Reno, NV this September for an old navy pal who is getting married in Puerta Vallarta, MX this November. Good times.

Dating various women - more good times.

I get my yearly COL raise on the 25th for the other job, so that doesn't hurt. Other than that, I got to play with video card hardware all week at work for a massive benchmark test, which was fun. Any job where your boss says "Hey Tim, go buy $4000 worth of video card hardware and test the **** out of it and let us know whihc one works best for CAD" has to be a good one. Incidentally, in case anyone was wondering, Quadro cards really are the overpriced **** you always expected they were.

Other than that, just cleaning the appartment up and going to see a movie later. Should be fun!

Well I hope Tare is having a kick *** time, we miss her...

As for me, last night I had a date, we went out for steak then to see Hancock since neither of us wanted to wait in line for tix to Dark Knight on a normal theater when both of us were dying to see it IMAX. I stayed out WAY too late, got up semi early to get my hair done, blonde again woot! I waited to long to get my hair done this time, so no wild colors because that is a double process that I didn't have the patience to do. Next time, hot pink stripes!

Getting ready to nap, but was talking to Kao as my laptop has bit the dust it appears and I am cranky over it. I obviously didn't get enough sleep. Smiley: nod

Tonight, going to the bar, two GF's share a birthday and they are celebrating tonight with another lady who's is in a month. I am an honorary birthday girl (6 months later) because I didn't get squat for my birthday, no card, no cake, no nothing! So I will be dancing to hard rock/heavy metal and head banging, and occasionally stealing some cake with my picture on it!

No telling what time tomorrow I will be home, might pick me up some strange as Thumb keeps telling me to do. Smiley: sly And tomorrow afternoon/evening I get to see my baby girl first time in nearly 6 weeks!!! I cannot wait. Smiley: grin

Oh and we are hitting up DQ on the way home and snagging one of those Girl Scout thin mint shakes, OMG heaven.

Then starts cheer practice 2x a week from now until Nov.

If you were the guy trying to pick me up at Camp Ramble Wood this weekend, stalking me and guess you should have expected rejection.

I went to Pagan Gathering Wednesday and got home few hours ago. Jonwin had to work so lots of sexual energy, I had to carefully control, was release once I could get him undressed. Made journeys and learn a lot about my myself spiritually. Still need confirmations by at least 1 more reading on few things, before I sure of some of the answers I got.

In normal Elne Clare attention seeking, I told few folks about why I made sure to have a Epi-pen always on me and then almost had to use it. The EMT there told me to take wear shoes, take meds and take 2 guys in the morning. Thankfully we think it was a wasp with just local reaction on left foot.

Daughter and I were both upset at the other, until we made the last of our goodbyes. Both think we need to have partners with us next year to ease the tensions. Actually I just think it wasn't in the Cards for both of us to be at the Ritual last night.

I stay up all night, so I could watch and listen to the Sun Rise.

Hey Kelvy, if you aren't that Guy, have you read any of Judika Illes and Christopher Penczak writings? I pick up 2 books by Christopher after the first ritual of his I went to Friday. I wanted the companion CD's for them, but money just wasn't there. On way home my daughter let me know she got one for book I got and another on that she was able to buy.

Plus I show up at the closing ceremony in my Viking T-shirt and the Druids wanted it read out load, before they could go on and start again. I was surprise that so few there had ever seen the shirt as it has been around for sometime and often seen at Balticon on members.

I need to find the Warrior Babes World Tour shirt I have, for next year.

I spent all of Sunday dismantling, transporting, and reassembling a new couch for our living-room.

Sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll baby!

Went to Texas last Thursday, the 17th, came back yesterday, Sunday. Highlight of the trip was seeing The Dark Knight. And then I went to see it with Ray and the kids again yesterday when I got back (good way to get over the jet lag).

Still married, still working, haven't given away my kids to an orphanage (but my oldest one is tempting me to do so). Same old, same old.

Not unless Camp Ramble Wood is along the Potomac in Harper's Ferry and you were a lithe half naked college girl named Megan.

I, however, think that it would be interested in going to a Pagan Gathering... but usually when I deal with such groups (Cedar Light, Light Paths, etc..) I find that I usually don't get on well with others. My belief system is utterly anti-specific or that is anti-egocentric... so the minute people come at me with specifics about their beliefs.. such as named deities, set patterns, spiritual authors, or other cultural frameworks I immediately have to be really careful not to offend people... which while amusing at times.. it's not the Ayslum. I usually just tuck into a corner somewhere and listen.. but even that seems to make people uncomfortable.
People seem to not like being told that their gods, their world, and themselves are just a conglomerate of infinite potential energy. Even though "I do believe in spooks, I do believe in spooks, I do believe in spooks" I also believe that the realization of the Unity in the Universe is the next step to spiritual metamorphosis and a step which many simply shall not take at this time despite their open-mindedness.

I don't know; but actually before I read this post I happened to pick up a book "Blackfoot Physics" which a woman from work went out on her lunch break and bought for me after a conversation that I had with her. It has been sitting around for awhile but I had just decided to pick it up and start reading it.
I don't tend to get into many such books anymore though.. One MAIN reason that I would read one would be to sorta "speak the same language" as another person who has read it. Many time they seem like books about offshoots and interpretations of a thing that has never been properly recorded in any book.
My EX-***** swore by "Conversations with God", which was a really good read; but even the fact that the author beings allegory into the mix creates a domination factor of writer over reader.. which is often inevitable. Many people think that I read some self help program thing (might have been from the guy who wrote CWG) after talking with me.

so no, don't know if I've read any of that.. although but I would be happy to discuss any other the subject matter with you over tea or whiskey or whatever.

and no, I'm way too self-centered to stalk anything but my own reflection.
