Try again for the 38th time. In a row.

Quote:
He'd get full marks for persistence, but that's not a qualification that would mean very much to Shiv Charan Yadav.

The 73-year-old Indian farmer has been taking - and failing - his high school exams every year since 1969 and has just flunked again for the 38th time.

He has vowed not to get married until he passes the exams, which are normally given to schoolchildren at the age of 15.

In his latest attempt he failed in every subject apart from Sanskrit, scoring just 103 out of a possible 600 points.

He said he found mathematics particularly hard, blaming the subject for dragging down his score.

"Once I pass I want to get married to a girl who's under 30," said Yadav.

He is now revising for his 39th attempt next year.

I'm just surprised he can count to 30.

Perhaps it's time to change the questions so they match his answers.

That would be a nice gesture, but, for the sake of the 400 million Indian girls under the age of 30, perhaps it's better not to.

Yeah, I think the gene pool can scrape along without his contribution.

Do they change the content of the tests year to year, because if they only change the questions, but still have the same topics covered every year, you would think that having 37 study guides would help. It should be like finding your college professors old exams and studying those

He's 73. He isn't going to remember the contents of 37 study guides at this point.

Probably having trouble reading them, damn small print. Smiley: mad
