Anyone watching this series on Discovery? I've heard it's been highly lauded as a good, unbiased look at US-Chinese relations (focusing on economics, of course). The first episode was tonight on the Discovery channel. So far it's ok; the only thing I don't care for is Koppel's forced reptition ("Made in China... made in China... made in China..."). No new information for me yet, but I'm hoping as the series gets further along, it'll get more interesting. For now, seems like a good thing to watch for anything who wants to know more about Sino-American relations and globalization.

Next episode is on tomorrow night, at 10 Eastern. Anyone else thinking of watching?

I would love too, but that would interfere with the "Turquoise Jewelry Marathon" on QvC, featuring lovely Native American jewelry from the Hopi, Zuni, and Navajo, manufactured right in Tianjin.

We need to bomb those slant eyed commie bastards before they use up all of our oil. Sure, we'd have to pay $12 for socks, but it'd totally be worth it.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

"You just remember: Taiwan not the same as China. They diff-er-ent!"

Or so the Taiwanese mother of me friend says. She is very passionate about it.

She also says: "Never say you pro-fes-ion-al. It make you sound like pros-ti-tute!"

She is also crazy.

"Oh! Slow down! You drive like mad man!"

"Don't worry ma, I'm a profesional."

"Oh! You don't say that! It make you sound like pros-ti-tute!"

"I'm a guy ma, that'd make me a boytoy."

"Oh yea!?"

Koppel hosted Talk of the Nation yesterday on NPR, with a show about "why Americans should care about China". Very interesting. I'm sure it's around on podcast.

I told Flea that, should I ever win the lottery, I'm never going to wear the same socks or underwear twice. Crack open the package, wear a set, then toss 'em in the trash when I'm done. What's better than brand new socks & underwear?

Ok, so I could afford to do this now but it'd hard to justify it.
