...to even make a thread about the new dictionary additions this year? I can't seem to find a complete list (link it if you got it), but here are some.

Most hated for me, from the limited list, is probably "netroots" and most amusing would be the addition of "mondegreen".

I'm so angry I might shank some twunt, without air quotes.

Fanboy (1919): boy who is an enthusiastic devotee, such as of comics or movies.

I never realized the phrase Fanboy has been around since 1919.

Infinity pool (1992): outdoor swimming pool with an edge over which water flows into a trough, but seems to flow into the horizon.

I'm glad I know the real definition of this now. Next time I visit the exquisite architecture of my mountain-top gazebo I can feel less dumb.

Air Quotes, I find especially amusing. I never realized that these were seriously used outside of the realm of sarcasm.

and Fanboy (1919). That makes me laugh. I'm picturing guys in bowler-caps and suspenders- "Fuck you, Woodrow Wilson fanboy!"

Judging by the headlines in the Brit papers over the last few days since I've been here, shanking twunts has turned into a national sport here! WTF?

Scary ****.

Yeah, it's been a bit non-stop lately. Knife crime hasn't really gone up though, but the victims and perpetrators have been getting younger.

Did you see the story of those two French students stabbed 200 times and then burnt in their flat in New Cross? Scary stuff. My girlfriend used to live there, it's a rough place.

Same deal here. In another 30 years, you'll see expecting mothers' bellies jumping and lunging at each other.

Yeah, you wonder how younger it can get.

It's a bit like the City of God movie, the end scene where you see the gang of 10-12 year olds that have just killed Lil'Ze, and taken over the favela. South London feels a bit like that sometimes.

Speaking of which, how goes them Hollywood Slots, Nexa?

I'd like to sit on a panel that gets to vote on the addition of new words to the US language.

In fact, I think I'll start with a new word. US language should officially be called "Statespeak".

Good, I think...I'm sure the local bingo industry is hurting though...opening day was a stampede of blue-hairs.
