Why do anything recreational?

Clearly your idea of recreation and mine differ. When I'm not around the office the last place I want to be is in front of a computer. Your children watch what you do. They can see a parent who enjoys sitting in front of a computer playing games or they can see a parent who's out in the real world enjoying life.
Everything in moderation eh.

I'd rather my kids see me at my computer and have access to me, than wonder where I am and what I'm doing if out 'recreating' in the evenings.

Once the sun goes down, most families settle into something domestic whether it be boardgames, tv/movies, reading, video/computer games, or some kind of craft.

If you don't play video/computer games, how and why have you found yourself at a gaming website?

Nephthy you should take up sculpting...

bs...take the dog for a walk, go for a jog, go fishing, take a bike ride, read a book, there's so many things if you can't find something to do you're not trying hard enough. Personally I like doing physical things that are going to pay off in the future. You laugh at me when I split a few cords of wood while drinking a few beers on the weekend. Do that a few weekends and all of a sudden you've put together a few grand worth of wood. I get to exercise in beautiful weather and get paid for doing it. And the garden is blast, although I need a rotovater. My corn is doing much better than my okra.

I do all that stuff and more, plus I find time to play games. Because I am infinitely better than you, capable of enjoying many activities while also possessing a much larger ****.

OMG, do you think people who play video games do nothing else but?!

You shut up and go away...you're stupid.

There you go, that's the way to use your imagination.
It sucks to be born with a little weany. Everyone knows it's not your fault, but still...there it is - a little weany.

Someday maybe they'll come up with a cure. In the meantime, well, sucks to be you.

My son is 2. 2yr olds go to bed at 7:30. 3 nights a week, Mrs. Neph goes to work from 5-12. That leaves me about 12 hrs of alone time a week. I hate TV. I make it to the gym every morning by 4:45, then come home and talk the dog for a jog. After that, I head to my job all day. So in conclusion, you're a dumbf'uck knox.

Oddly enough, I had more fun just PUGing some BG's than I've had in a long time. I'm at the point this week where I'd rather start yet another char or BG in WoW than play any other MMO.

Everyone knows that MMO's are a complete waste of time. Much like watching TV, posting online, and anything involving Oprah.

And stop sub-def'ing knox, varus, whoever.

Purely by chance. I used to play eq a long time ago for a long time. Wandered here looking something up and saw the no hold bar tag and thought I would see what it was about. In the middle of the winter I can understand video games a lot more than now. What time does the sunset?
It's dusk about 8:30 these days.

The days are getting shorter. Winter is right around the corner. Thanks for the reminder.

Everyone needs distractions now and then. What i've noticed from gamers is the distraction becomes consuming. They're willing to go for fast food to feed the family instead of cooking a meal. They're willing to allow their children to play on the computer as long as it shuts them up. Did none of your parents work them sh*t out of you growing up so that when it was dark you were glad because that meant you could stop working?

Not really. We paid people like you to do it for us.

Hey did you know that MickeyD's served it's one billionith burger to a gamer?

What you're noticing is life. If you think fast food dinners and electronic babysitters are limited to people who fancy video games then you are most certainly missing the forest for a tree.

Some gamer-gurl dump on you or somthin?

Give me a break. None of you had jobs before/after school?

As a child or as a teen? I had a paper route when I was 14-15, then didn't work again until after high school. Other than that, I has basic chores to do around the house. Keep my room clean, walk the dog, etc... But I sure as hell never had so much work to do, that I was glad it was dark so I could stop working.
