The logo still advertises "Meet the Press with Tim Russert", but apparently Brian Williams is filling in until they pick a new moderator. I hope they keep him, since he became my anchor-boyfriend after Peter Jennings bought the farm. Anyone else you think would fit the bill?

*sob* I miss Peter Jennings. I'll never forget his coverage on 9/11 and the sound of his voice on every single radio at my workplace that day.

Too cartoonist for MTP. David Gregory would be good.

George Will, perhaps? I'd be nice to see a conservative actually have a political talk show on one of the Big Three for a change instead of the endless parade of Lefties masquarading as impartial and independent thinkers.

I guess I'd rather they just keep Brian Williams than anyone I can think of. Chris Matthews is too much of a character...Brian Williams can take the spot and be unoffensive about it.

It seems that nearly every one of them were political hacks for a major Dem player at some point.

Carry on with your lives, people. It's just one more piece among many others of blatent liberal media bias.

Still waiting for my formal invitation to join the oil party. I've gotten a number of things on the list done, but am waiting to get aa yellow fever shot and the background check until I get official word from Chevron.

As to the topic at hand, I stand by my statement. The only conservatives they employ on these newsies are the straight men for the stars of the show: Libs.

Heh, I heard on NPR this morning that Nigerian rebels sailed out to a platform 75 miles offshore and destroyed the production facilities, thus losing about 200,000 barrels of crude a day. The government has subsequently sent out troops to the neighboring beaches to secure the shoreline from further attacks.

Good thing it wasn't Angola. I'd have to rethink my decision to place my sacred body in mortal danger if those crazy Zulus or Tootsies or whatever they call themselves actually made the job dangerous.

Obviously. Have you seen the cow eyed idiots who are hacks for Republican players when they're young? I mean later on when they have money, sure. Young and Republican though? You pretty much have to be functionally retarded.

Until this morning, I never noticed how crooked Brian Williams' nose is.

He's good, though. I'm fine with him. Still, if I could pick anyone, it'd be Chris Hansen and everyone would get cookies and lemonade.

Not that anyone will care, but since I usually only read the middle of sentences, I read "Brian Williams nose" then "if I could pick" and then I laughed into my coffee because I'm retarded. About 10 minutes later, I decided to go back and read the post to see what it was actually about, but it was better the first time.

Lol, why does it surprise any of you I listen to NPR? ****, I'm actually a donating member! I see it this way: You gotta know what the enemy is thinking, doing, and planning. And listening to NPR is like sitting in on the Lefties' war briefings.

Besides, the stuff they report on is funny. The other day they were interviewing homos and one of them broke out into a showtune seranade to his new bride/husband. I was laughing so hard at this guy singing, "My Funny Valentine" all warbly and stuff I almost drove my car into a ditch. Gays are sooo incredibly... gay. Is it any reason why straights mock them so much? One of the lezzies they talked to was even named "Pat." I guess her **** licker S/O "Terry" was too busy wrenching on her Harley to take the time to chat with NPR. You just can't make this stuff up.

I do the same thing and listen to rightwing talk radio. I remember everyone rallying around poor Rush when he mysteriously went deaf. And then we found out it was b/c of his crystal meth addiction. But they still couldn't explain Ann Coulter's adam's apple.

I have a friend that fought in Angola for a few years. Boy, the nightmares still keep him up at night. Hopefully, your biggest danger will be what kind of china pattern to buy for your new kitchen.

Really? Was he doing merc-work for a proxy or was he directly employed by the Angolan government? I imagine he saw a lot of machete injuries.

He's from South Africa and was in the military. There is alot of sketchiness about his life around that time so I'm not sure under whose auspices he fought under but suffice it to say, I heard it was a ************ We hung out alot a few years ago and he'd get really drunk at night to deal with these flashbacks. It wasn't only that but also his 4 year old daughter was killed in a bombing in Johannesburg. He decided to go to Angola or signed up after his daughter's death b/c he was in a nihilistic rage. But the civil war ended, supposedly. Now I'm sad thinking about it. Smiley: frown
