A report released yesterday by former UN arms inspector, David Albright, says that, back in 2006, some electronic blueprints for a sophisticated nuclear bomb were found in the hands of Pakistani smugglers and quite possibly found their way to Iran or N. Korea.

Electronics really isn't the issue. Heck I could probably build the electronics.

Electronic in that it the blueprints were a computer file and therefore easy to duplicate and share.

I assume the blueprints were for making the whole bomb.

Well, actually, for a missile delivered Plutonium derived bomb that relies on staged shape charges to implode the core, causing the chain reaction, the electronics are quite complicated due to the extremely precise timeing required. Those electronic plans most likely also contain the fusing arrangement. That Iran has them doesn't worry me too much, as they lack sufficient plutonium to build lightweight nuclear weapons at the moment. Though if they get a breeder reactor up, that will change quickly.

North Korea on the other hand has plenty. Though they likely already have similar level plans aquired from China.

Wow, yeah, I feel dumb. God, it was so obvious too. Wife kept me up all night snoring, seriously, I was still wide awake at 4 am.
