Jesus, this is the worst famous death in a long time. Tim Russert is awesome. That's shocking.

My money was on George Stephanopoulos being stepped on by a normal-sized human, so this is really a shock.

Bummer, too.

I was stun when I hear this. Over the last few weeks election coverage, I come to respect Tim Russert as one of the few level heads on MSNBC. I send my Condolences to his family and NBC

Well, that's a shame. I liked the guy. He didn't take as much shit as the rest of the gang.

You goin' for his job now, Smash?

I do have most of the requisite qualities. Large Irish head, Democratic leanings, disregard for other people's feelings.

Sadly, I don't refer to my father as "Big Smash" so I think I'm out of luck.

I liked Tim Russert. He was an excellent journalist and will be missed. But the coverage... You would think the pope died.

I'm bummed about Tim Russert's passing. He was one of the few remaining journalists with some integrity. Of course, you know what this means...

I wonder if he still has that insane look even in death.

I meant to post condolences, but that's just what came out.

Personally I was more upset with the passing of Jim Mckay, but then he was from Baltimore. Elne was very angry with me when I said that.
Im more upset the Robert Asprin has left us as well. Now no more Myth BOoks.

I grew up on Jim McKay every Saturday and did his last TV show years ago, so his death wasn't unexpected at his age. Tim Russert was only 58 and like manh people I look forward to watching him in November.

As for Asprin, i regret there will be no more Myth books also, yet he was just one of a few people lost that week in fandom. I was with Badger when she hear about her filker's friend's death.
