Stopped lurking and started posting in December of '01. Or was it '00? Meh, a long time ago anyway.

There are a few threads where I looked up the date for people floating around here. Your other cance is looking at archive.org. there are still fragmentary pieces of UBB floating around in existance, like the shattered floating pieces of a broken realm of sky, drifting through the endless night. Sometimes if you are lucky you can find your start date there.

Some of you might be lucky enough to be archived:

Nexa, I didn't see you

Yeah, thinking back to what else was going on at the time, it would have been around March of 2001. I had been playing EQ for a month or so when I found this site and started posting.

Even scarier is that I have been reading the before mentioned posts for about 5 years.

Sure it wasn't the next year? Your user number is way higher. That's one of the few ways to tell (roughly) when a person registered at least.

Your first post near as I can tell:
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=1;mid=10679147864490#m106795569623061

This was the first ever non-Illia, true forum system post:
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=3;mid=106700840824321

There are comment posts from before that, but the UBB FORUm was still in existance at that time so they don't count.

Maybe! I honestly don't remember. I used to post on the old Stratics board and posted on both concurrently for a bit, so I can't remember when I started here.

I know I found this site sometime in late 2000 or early 2001, because it was just a few months after I started playing EQ. You know what that means?

It means I lurked for four years before I made an account and started posting. That's gotta be some kind of record. I'm sorry I deprived you all for so long.

Yes brings back memories of the days when kid and I wish you wouldn't try to teach us the game we introduce you too. Darn I think it was back when you still were playing on a 486 with no modem and I gave you my spare copy of Civ 2 to get you out of the stone age. Not that my computer was much at the time, but it was built with EQ in mind.

I remember making about 5 UBB posts around the same time. I been lurking on and off since Dec 1999, when I decided to get the game for Xmas. My guild suggest I come here to learn more on how to play eq after I complain that they had twink my first toon within 5 minutes of creating her. My next character wasn't accounce to guildmates, just so I could learn game without 5 guys trying to tell me what to do from the start.

Writing story about how Primrose jump into a fight with a fire giant while nude, few years earlier had to helped some.

BTW I think the cd drive in Jonwin's current computer, was from his old computer. I never throw parts away knowing I might need it someday. Still got one of the 5 1/4 floppy drives from the first 8088 my ex bought, in a drawer we can't get to due to junk pile in front of it.

My first post was me asking how to get off of the Siren rock in the Ocean of Tears. Some wizard had brought me over there to hunt the mermaids and then he Gated off. My paladin was stuck in the middle of nowhere with no clue how to get home.

I belive it was Cogmatix who taught me the boat-scoop trick.

Memories... in the corner of my mind...

I fell off the boat and got stuck in that ocean once. I think sharks eventually killed me.

I was trying to talk the other passenger into doing the Titanic "kind of the world" pose with me so I could take a screen shot and when I demonstrated it I fell in.

My first post was in early 2005, and was asking if there was any EU players on the Terenas server.

There wasn't.

Useless site.
