Dracoid came over for the weekend Thursday night. Beer was consumed and reminiscences occurred. Smiley: drunk

Friday morning I hopped in the car and took Dracoid & the Noblet to London. We checked into the Hilton at lunchtime and had a saunter down Carnaby Street (Yeah Baby!) where the Noblet acquired some white Converse sneakers to go with his suit for Prom Night, and Dracoid found a fine pair of handmade italian boots to complete his metamorphosis into a Russell Brand lookee-likee.

After a nice italian meal in Covent Garden, we went to Salisbury Avenue. I'd got very good tickets for a new comedy at the Gielgud theatre - Ralph Fiennes, Ken Stott, Tamsin Greig & Janet McTeer in "God of Carnage". Outstanding play that was laugh out loud in spades. The Noblet was on a high the whole time sitting a few yards from Ralph Fiennes - (his performance in Schindler's List is one of Noblet's top 5).

After a cheeky beer or two near Leicester Square, we caught a cab back to the hotel and undertook serious Quality Assurance on the liquor (Dracoid took a liking to White Russians). The Noblet was slightly in awe - his favoUrite actor is Kevin Spacey, who happened to be at the next table in the hotel bar.

We were umming and ahh-ing about whether to say something, but Spacey noticed the Noblet's theatre programme and asked if he'd enjoyed it. Turns out he'd been to the same performance and entered into a fascinating dissection of Fiennes' performance (inspired), Tamsin Greig's on-stage tantrums (hysterical) and the overall production.

He seemed in no hurry to get away and we talked about the rumoUrs he's about to take British Citizenship (might happen but not a priority), his work raising the profile of the Old Vic (his proudest achievement) and his future plans (on hold - apparently we won't be seeing him on stage or screen for the foreseeable future).

It took Noblet until 4am to get over the excitement so turning him out of bed this morning was an ordeal.

There's something sooper-speshul about your son thanking you for "the best day ever".

Contented Nobby is contented.Smiley: cool

Too much activity for me right now, but glad you had fun. I'd kill for a day in bed, broken only by intermittent naps.

Name dropping is a major symptom of chronic insecurity syndrome. So, you know, might want to see a doctor about that. :p

Better than mine. I got yelled at a bunch @ work by pricks and smoked the last of my pot.

But I made it to the liquor store at 10:55pm (they close at 11), so it could have been worse.

Drove pass old S.S.UnitedStates on US Route 95, yep she still floats, left lane to Callowhill Street as we passed under old bridge Benjamin Franklin took the exit. Made my way over three lanes on Spring Garden Street and Seventh Ave turning right we see crowd of peeps wandering in from Center City. Right turn to parking pay this dude five bucks and park right in front of the Electric Factory where Mindless Self Ingulgence setting up there tour Vampire Ball.
"We name Philadelphia as Center City because of the location on the US east coast map just point and there is the center. Growing up there since the late 50's as a school child we practice hidding under our school desks during the Atomic Bomb Drills." just to clarify the meaning of Center City.

While Kevin may be Spacey, I been wanting to attend the Vampire Ball for sometime.

I love going to Philly, but right now I'll just hide from the sun by my A/C. Plus I already saw Voltaire and ego likeness this year. since I am friends with Steve and Donna, there is no reason for name dropping.

Add John Jude Palencar to my list of Illustrators and Artists.

Claudia Gray to Writers.

Onezumi
and Urban Tapestry to Web Comic and Filkers

Okay not they are not as well known as Nobby's name drops, but they did draw in a crowd at The Orpheus and Balticon 42
